Good of the Geelong Club tonight - race 6 honouring one of WA Great pacers " The Flying Brick Cider Preux Chevalier Free For All" - 24k race I wonder why a Vic country or regional club have got a feature race in honour of the frog - maybe it won …

I pity the maidens in WA that haven't won in over 20 starts, that legitimately have an NR of 30. They now can never go below 50, and may as well be shot if they are to be retired from racing. There is now no market for them outside of WA even if the…

Ya gotta laugh. The "PACING WA SUPPORTS WA BRED MS PACE" has 8 starters, 6 of which have NZ as a suffix.

Lavra Joe and Jumpingjackmac have met 3 times. Twice as 2yo's and once at 3. Lavra Joe has finished in front of the other twice, the last time in March when he started outside JJM and won in a m/r of 1.54.4 for the 2130. The sighter race for me was …

One would imagine the only reason Dont Bother Me None NZ didn't get a start is that it wasn't nominated at acceptance time. For that matter I think the two emergencies were unlucky not to get a start in front of Sound Wave.

Country Derby done and dusted for Lavra Joe. Home in 27.9 and 26.9 for a m/r of 1.56.8. Onwards to the derby.

That is what Emergency Services do ... make decisions about how to deal with anticipated emergency events. In this instance they decided to close Gt Eastern Hwy from 5pm due to a cyclone being expected to impact that area. I am sure RWWA had no opti…

Gt Eastern Hwy is closed in both directions from Tammin to Coolgardie. Tammin is west of Kellerberrin.

The whisper going around is Ragazzo Mach will not be contesting the WA derby.

According to RWWA there have been 70 horses exported to the Eastern States in the past 12 months. There have been 91 horses imported into WA in the same time, from all states and NZ. There have been 25 horses exported to the USA. Your numbers are ou…

Mares (that I know of from my inaccurate and apparently conservative list): Rousey, Salome Miss, Tajie Baby, Semi Ramide, Dracarys,Soho Major Player, The Glass Ceiling, Rockstar Diva, Georgie Mae, Nightwatch Star, Lady Lani, Get Ready To Rock, Mod…

Whilst I am posting ... TABWA turnover on the trots for the previous 12 months is up approx 43%. Unfortunately, or fortunately, whichever way you want to look at it, the other two codes have experienced similar growth.

The ridiculous part is, the current system is basically the same as C and M with different terminology, and added spots at the M level between M0 to FFA. Plus the drop back classes NW4k 8K 12K 20K 25K L5 Changing back to the C and M does nothing…

No one has said anything, so here goes. Last night's run by Lavra Joe was 0.3 seconds outside the track record at GP. It set a new Australian record for 2500m for 3yos, smashing the old record by 1.7 seconds. Lavra Joe is already a world record hold…

I see we have a new minister for racing and gaming. I wonder if it will just be a case of same old, same old.

A couple of kudos deserved. First an article on harness.org.au about the Denmark Cup winner, Thompson Bay, at Albany, and the article on Emily Suvaljko notching up her 200th winner at Collie on Harnesslink.

Then who is checking eligibility of horses at RWWA? Medieval Man, on Friday night, won a race it is not eligible for. I was suprised he was eligible but didn’t look into it just seen it in his available races when I nominated don't think the…

Any ideas why GP meetings on Tuesdays are treated like they are a protected species? The premise of running a premier midweek meeting at GP is quickly becoming farcical. We have had a meeting not held due to lack of noms, several meetings with sub-p…

I used to love going to Harvey. It was one of my favourite tracks to go to. Much nicer than Bunbury. It helped they had some of the nicest food served at a race course.

Harvey track hasn’t been sold. Don’t think RWWA tried very hard or it would still be open!Club had 300k in the bank !! The track has been up for sale a couple of times, the last time was last year? I couldn't remember the asking price. Any idea? htt…

I take issue that Harvey was closed due to industry consolidation JayJay. The closure of Harvey was completely due to the owners of the property and the Club being unable to work through their differences and RWWA tried very hard to broker a solutio…

Feel free to enlighten me on what you’ve tried to do then? Spent good money on horses for Collie and Busselton so you could beat up on the weak fields? Well .. I have never been disqualified for 4 years for fixing a race. I take great pride in tha…

Inaccurate on so many fronts it is laughable. Never argue with an idiot, JJ. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

STG, I have never seen a race NR 30 to 60. You might get a NR 56 to 60, or a NR up to 40, and so on and so forth. Further, races are usually PBD/NR and not RBD. The NR of a horse has no correlation to its HWOE for the most part. As we in WA do not r…
