Yes it is that time of the year again when I get an extra spring in my step. Four weeks tomorrow and the real racing starts, yes thats right, the Broome Season.
There are a few whispers around, of course they still need to be confirmed.
Jim Enright has a good team, with a previous ES Blackbooker in Unbendable leading the charge.
Is Frank Maynard coming to Broome? That was the early whisper.
Kat Richter is bringing a team up from the Crayfish Coast to the Pearl Coast.
The weather is outstanding, and people are starting to filter into town, with bikinis being spotted at shopping centres.
I Can't wait.

john Gangemi is bringing up a team also and spending three months in Broome this year.
haha, no.....shes got a better one at home!
I know you do have to organise in advance though.
There are an extra 26 stables/stalls this year....
Ladies Day will be on the tuesday in lieu of the wed.
There will be one friday meeting in lieu of a sat. one...do not know which one.
John & Maureen Gangemi have settled in well...
I'm bloody freezing!!!!!
Diva, what can you tell me about your team's stable jockey, Michelle Hagley??
Would she get a run in the calender, and if so which month?
sorry, cant comment on the asthetics, but she sits on well by the look of her, has some good vigour in a finish and must be a gutsy lady as she rides the jumps.
Has ridden 27 winners this season from 189 odd rides for a winning strike rate of 14%.
She has also flown over specifically to help out Angela who was badly let down with 13 horses to be worked.
I hope she rides a few winners as she must be a good sort to have dropped everything in VIC to help a soul in need!
I wish her well in Broome....
I could name one for Broome, couldn't I Diva?
Take plenty of dosh.......
Still paying for it...Broome is no place for the faint hearted.
I hear Diva lasted about a furlong....
Someone told me they do two-up at the races there, true or false?
