Didn't see the race, or bet on it.  But your comment @motivated is easy to pick apart.

If your on the best horse in the field and they're stacked up behind the leader, you take off early.  OR, you end up with a sprint to the line where everyone finished in the same position they were in at the 600m mark (only Outlaw Pete changed position).  You don't sit one out one back because its the best spot.

Now to cut that argument down myself.  If he really was on the best horse in the field, it would have still managed to catch the leader.  Damned if you do...
Not sure you are talking about the same race here Gary H...However 1 out 1 back is the best spot to be in 99/100 races as it gives you options..You can come back if the pace is too quick, go early if the pace has been to slow, stay out of trouble and keep momentum. No worries about trying to pick apart my comment, because you are incorrect.

The fact remains Boutique did not run 1 back, was atleast 3 wide for 90 percent of run,

Shhh!  Maybe no one will notice that out of 5 races, 4 leaders to the turn have won......  What a great prime metropolitan track we have.

I'm hoping the jocks figure out the bias in the next, and over race for a back marker to get up.  I was thinking the last race was the one.  But they just sat in order and let SN get away with the lead.....

Can someone please confirm or put my mind at ease regarding the last race and tell me if a) paddy carbery used the whip in his left hand up the straight and I couldn't see it or b) he never pulled it in the first place or c) there was nothing wrong with the ride and I'm talking through my pocket!

Hash, it was a shocker. Did he think he was on Lonhro?

My issue is not how he rode the horse out as it came home like a train, rather how long it took him to make the run.

I agree. Waited far too long to make his run. Why was it behind horses for so long ?

The cat and whatever his reason for stopping it from winning has cost me close to a 5 grand payout from different multis I've spent $145 on! I can tell you if I ever meet the bloke in person or anyone close to him I'll be sure to let him know about it! And the fact I doubt I'll never get close to a payout like that for quite sometime and until I do I'll be sure not to forget this one!

Was there too - the loud group got rowdy after the 4th, betting on greyhounds is always dangerous (I should know), but the food and facilities were very good!
