Lost in Never Neverland
West Australian Racing
No one likes to give it to jockeys given it's a tough and dangerous gig , but how does one put an even money fav on the fence behind a bunch of 100 to one shots knowing on ratings and form his horse is 8 lengths better than the field and to rub it in in had a wide gate and no reason to go anywhere near the fence and behind half that lot who should never be allowed to run in a race like that .

Might go alright in the cup based on today's run...

I'm not sure about this but I think if Delicacy comes out the weights are raised 1.5kg which still gives Neverland the luxury weight of 55.5kg, if it was my horse I would have been keen to give it as soft a run as possible today in the extreme heat after the gutbuster on a very heavy track last start.
They would have won the race I'm sure if they could of but I'm also certain they wouldn't have been disappointed with A) it's run and B) that it had the perfect soft run going into the Perth Cup.
From a financial viewpoint I'm disappointed myself that it didn't win as it was the third leg of a very nice treble with the first two legs being who dat singa and scales of justice but I've got a feeling there's a big pay day on it just around the corner and at considerably better odds.

the weights would be raised 1kg for real love & balmont girl & tower of lonhro with the rest of them staying with what they have.
and if the minimum was 53 as it should have been, if he was an honest handicapper, then most of them would have stayed at that weight too.
that is one of the only things wa handicappers have right, and the rest of australia have wrong.
i guess 1 out of 200 ain't bad!
Agree why would Bob take Delicacy to the Cup when Neverland looks a moral and he still has Real Love and Respondent as well I'm talking through my kick as I took 14-1 Delicacy Cox stakes into Neverland Cup and Neverland in the pre posts but based on that run yesterday Neverland is cherry ripe and put the good mare away the cerise and white will still win anyway
Doesnt seem to grasp that some of them need to slide into it somewhat. He sat idle on Neverland until the one outside him revved up, then decided to ask her, and it seemed she wasnt able to instantaneously quicken to be able to hold spot and then nudge out. Then he thought fark it, get back to the inner.
Honestly, he couldn't hold the Ponts bags in his prime.

maybe you could apply?
forget it, as come to think of it, peters horses seem to get lots of favours, so are you sure your name is not ian or david???

Backing out of form horses to suddenly regain their old form is a quick trip to the poor house but each to their own.
Barring shocking bad luck or injury to any of the genuine chances it can't possibly win.
