  • It's an interesting comparison since BHB has been racing in a higher class and winning whereas HOS had been very impressive in ok grade races. Hasn't been beating much but the way it has been doing it leads me to think that it will prove to be the better performed horse down the track.

    Also it makes it difficult to compare when they either don't meet in a race or race over different distances.

    For mine I hope He or She goes east. Reckon once it matures and realizes what to actually do it will be a ripper. Wish it had a different name too. No offence to the owners of course ;)

    So difficult with names, maybe you can help me with my next 30. I thought it'saher.

    spoton bobby he,s had 1 less prep & ithink his turn of foot is by far superior thanBHBs, last start i think CP was a bit complacent with his ride, & just thought it would all happen for him on HOS . maybe @carey can work do some time sectionals on their races from 1100to 1600 that both have raced over for a bit of comparisment would be interesting stats, anyway ithink both horses r great ijust happen to think HOS is going 2 be the better more versitile one. cheers , & i would gladly B in on a packet of chewies/slikpick , DIVA provided i pick the hoops  :)) :)) ;) ;) :D

    Haha Mc I have always taken an interest in names of horses. I can certainly have a go at contributing or maybe you can put the breeding up on PTT and I'm sure you'll have more than enough options.

    It's a nightmare, so I will gladly comply with your kind request, when I do my next lot. Saying that I have 2 that need to be named shortly. 1 is Big Teds half brother Dylan Thomas x La Bolero. The other Ysmael half brother. Statue of Liberty x  Miss Exquisite

    Both available

    1 - Latin Hexameter (mash of meanings of Dam/Sire - bolero/poetry)

    2 - Peysieux (SoL sculptor's wife)

    I'm a big fan of both BHB and HOS. I do think however, that HOS will end up on top. I know it's early doors for the horse, but I think he may well be better suited over east where a genuine tempo would suit. Reckon the sting out of the ground would bring them back to him a bit too. Would love to see him have a throw at the stumps over there whilst he still has grades to go through....

    He is lovely we call him Grey Gun, he is Grey. I thought My Silver Lining. He looks impressive for a first foal. The only Grey My Atacanta to date. As you know Silver went to Universal Ruler last year, but missed. This year she went to Admiration. She is a lovely looking mare, glad I bought her.

    Some ideas for your names;

    Dylan Thomas x La Bolero = quickstep, poet's dance or limerick.

    Statue of Liberty x Miss Exquisite = beautiful present, lovely lady.

    Check out BR1 (Townsville) last thursday 8th Jan. There were 6 out of 7 Craiglee runners. How would DMac go with that lot- or any commentator to be fair.

    Not a lover of this, gets complicated. Macs reals, Halliwell etc etc I love strong one word names. I'm not interested in correctness, female masculine, it's about the name. For instance magnifisio would not sound better as magnifisia. Because of ifestio the dam.

    I rate the one word names too. The Inghams really made that style of name their own way back didn't they. But they had a person employed full time to come up with the names for them, such was the volume of horses they were bringing into the system!
    Now you have the ptt crew employed full time to do yours ;)
