    I'd suggest a 500k offer...followed up with a copy of a bank transfer for about 200k!!!
    =)) =))

EDIT...oh and if it were mine an the fun they have already got out of it...i'd be selling

Have to agree, sell, sell, sell! (if the offer is around 300k)

Has gone from a m68 at the start of the campaign to an m96 now, won around 300k.

With a rating of m96, will be restricted to WFA and would have to win a Winterbottom (or series of WFA sprints) to see another 300k+ jump into the pot.

yes LLS and if it goes east there are a lot of races it can enter at its current rating with prize money to cover the purchase cost...plus WFA listed races. 3 or 4 Saturday wins and the new owners should have most of their outlay black.

To me it is a no brainer.. And if they don't sell it, the next best thing would be to move it east...but why take all that cost and risk when you can put money in the bank and be able to buy a nice one to have another go at fame and glory.

yep, sell...no brainer if the offer is right.
its such a fickle game, he could break down tomorrow, have a stable accident, get bitten by a snake or just lose form.
if the current owners are like the majority of us...knock about dudes with limited funds i'd say grab it with both hands...

I also see @Damien Wyer purchased BHB/Rebel Sisters dam Sister Theresa at the 2012 sales as an 18yo for $1000, then put it to Secret Savings and sold it as a yearling for $700. Can you elaborate on where she is at now Damien?

Not everybody is in the caper for the $$$$ [-(

Depends I suppose if the connections have had a good one previously, if they have a dream of group glory - money cant buy it.

Horse has shown he is just a little behind the top liners this prep - with not a lot of improvement he could be right amongst them in the big races next carnival.

Might be selling the only opportunity they will ever get to have a horse run in the Railway or Winterbottom.

If they are in it for the money then anything around the 200k mark and I'd take it

I wouldnt sell unless the money was ludicrous, surely as small owners you are not in this game for the money...you could take the money and buy 5 more and win SFA.

:O add a couple of years training fees and he has to win around $670k to break even

I can confirm there was an offer for Bart. It was 250k for half the horse and he was going east to the Hayes stable, however that offer is now off the table because he ran and won the summer scorcher.

    thanks for the input pendles...

I'd still be taking anything close to that, and I haven't been involved in a good one for years, but that is a lot of play money, especially considering that he has already earned about 300k

By the sounds of it then the owners are prepared to sell.

Would have to win around 350k in the next 2 years to make knocking back $250k for 1/2 a financially sound decision.

Good luck to connections which ever way they go - I know what I would be doing $-)

If it is for half the horse it is a no-brainer to sell for the right price.

As I have always said, owning 50% or 5% still produces the same feeling when your horse wins.

As an owner it is also the dream to have a horse win feature races over East, so take the money, keep half your share and find out how good he is over east.

I agree. We were/are still prepared to sell the horse. It is the buyer that has gone cold after running him New Years day.
