No mate that was the original plan to go Caufield Cup & then Melbourne Cup but because his rating wasn't high enough when he arrived we needed to win a couple of those lead ups but when Newitt carved him up in those 2 starts when he ran 3rd & 4th we knew then that he would struggle to get in to the Turnbull so we changed tack and headed this way and the Mackinnon is his GF and next year we will have a crack at the big 3. Will probably look at the Australian Cup in the Autumn also. Field down to 9 drawn 3 improved off his last run considerably so Mick says so is a seriously live chance on Saturday :D Look for 2 blokes behaving like 10yr olds in the mounting yard if he does happen to win !

Any chance Jetaway to go for an all the way? Think this is his right distance, even if he wins dont really like him for the cup.

Boss is looking for a cup ride now and Ollie is on Fiorente next tuesday. Apparently Bossy chased the ride on Jet Away for the CC also. It's interesting that Hayes has said he needs to win or be very competitive-translation WIN BOSSY....DO WHATEVER THE **** IT TAKES!!!!!

Damn. Why can't we edit posts more than once per day?

I should clarify, Hayes' instructions relate to the chances of Jet Away backing up on tuesday.

Dear Demi 11/1 seems overs? Probably a tad too short but depends on the tempo, how quick they going to go?

Has anyone thought that Mourayan could finish here with a big win before he goes to the US. He is the highest rated runner.

MM has no hope of beating Jetaway based on the CC run Jetaway was murdered and still beat MM home but Durrant reckons they will ride MM cold so maybe thats the answer

Manighar going to the US, not Mourayan (unless you know something more)

Mourayan not without a chance in this race!

Adam could you not find and honest jockey?
Surely there are plenty of the over there, and this bloke does not ride anywhere near as well as he once did.

It's funny that they took Staek off after the Makybe Diva stakes where he was denied a run in the straight and replaced him with another rail rider in Ollie. The gaps have a way of opening for Ollie though, which is not always the case for DS. Very frustrating when the money is on! How many Railway winners in recent times would have got clear from where MM was coming to the 600m mark last year?

I might have a spec at 151 for Mr Moet in the cup instead of having a bet on saturday. Sounds as though they will go to the cup if he makes the final field, which he will if he wins

Think the obvious in Jet Away is the one and then will be in th MC up to his ears. There's queries on him at the 2 miles but the way he fought on in the CC after over racing and being wide I think he'll get it on his ear. And the run tomorrow gets the miles into his legs so he's not as fresh on Tuesday. Taken the 21's last week and very happy as he'll near on start favourite B-)
