    apologies for the lack of update. the triple dead heat for third in the second last has blown up the software!

    will get it sorted as soon as we can...might be later tonight or tomorrow.

    Runaway leader golos got rolled so there goes one wildcard. I've been frantically working out who else got points from the triple dead heat race and it looks like I may have scraped in with the 2nd and only remaining wildcard after losing to bomber64.

    I think my tally for this week is wrong again. Should have got 14 pts? timbob is the tipping name. Im trying to beat a mate !!

    sorry about the glitch this week, but a triple dead heat is not something we bargained on.

    We will fix this morning, but if you want to know in the meantime, just add your score from R7 and thats your final.

    We will award a point each for the triple dead heaters.

    then i thank that judge for me getting 1 point on mendicity, not that it matters anyway, but i want to catch that rat up near the top if i can :lol:

    If we tie, I'll have a moral victory as we know Almachino beat Mendicity :wink:. I think they should give the judges in WA a voucher for OPSM.

    Grimmy knocked out Lady Luck yesterday in a play off to take him through to the final 20. It was a good match that ended up 22 - 17

    4.88% of tipsters tipped Ranger. Tips remained hidden until after the race was run. You guessed it, my opponent tipped Ranger.
    Given that will put me out of the comp, I would have thrown something on Ranger had I known. It's very frustrating to follow things as closely as I do only to have vital info withheld when it really counts.
    I hope for the sake of the remaining players, something similar doesn't occur further down the track as it would look pretty sus.

    No mate, it just didn't update until after the race. Previous race tips were shown. Of course only 1 of the remaining 20 tipped Ranger and it was my opponent :cry:
    Just unlucky I guess. From memory, the race after wasn't updated in time either.
    Maybe there's a glitch in the system because I used different browsers and refreshed etc all to no avail.

    Maybe it was your cache, cause i was checking who everyone picked, to help my punting, and it had selections for the waratah secret race, cause most picked it :/ i could see

    I had the same updating problem for races 6 and 7, luckily I was able to contact my opponent and find out who he'd tipped. Well done Rooney :(

    No wild card this week and we're down to 10.

    there will be one next week however, so keep tipping.

    golos extremely unlucky to go down this week by 1 pt. still holds top possie on the leaderboard, so can get back with a wild card next week if he stays on top.

    Still tracking ya Rodent - and still seen better rear ends youv'e slipped a length and a bit ahead tho :lol: mine for the rest of the day R3 - 6, 4-5, 5-10, 6-9, 7-6 and get out stakes R8- 7

    very low scoring this week with the top scorer still in the comp only getting 18pts.
    One wild card will be awarded this week and fittingly, Golos will get back in!

    What did the bugger score????? I scored 20 and was hoping seeing that was better than all still in the comp and having had knocked the famous "Golos" out myself once already was hoping i has the wild card.....so what did the luck bugger score??

    Well i think i have found the only down fall in the comp, id thought wildcard should be given to the best of that week, not awarded due to previous weeks, where's the incentive to keep people interested????..... oh well rules are rules.....other than that major flaw is a good comp.!

    I wouldn't consider that rule a flaw - it rewards consistency.

    Think there is a weekly prize to keep people interested.

    I dont believe its flawed at all.
    Wild cards reward the overall best tipsters, not just someone who jagged a good score in one week.

    Would have been tragic that Golos was the overall best tipster (on top of the leaderboard) and was not still in the competition.

    He deserves another chance and he has got it this week.
