didn't the steward tick off the correct distance???
West Australian Racing
mr zucal told me several years ago that the stewards have a checklist that they have to follow to ensure everything is as it should be PRIOR TO THE RACE!!!.......
General:
Following the race Stewards identified that the time of this race was inconsistent with the advertised distance and instructed Club Officials to verify the actual distance of the race. It was subsequently ascertained that the distance was not run over 2000m and was in-fact 2242m, this error arose due to the rail being moved to 10m and the starting point not being adjusted.
.......so in this case i suppose the stewards in charge got his knuckles rapped NOT!!!
it's no where near good enough.
hello hello mr stewards, how about doing your job correctly.
you could maybe buy this shabbiness at a picnic venue, but at a meeting supposedly run by professionals, it's a joke,.... except it is not funny.
pathetic actually.

Good news for connections of Crispiano is that they now hold a track record that should never be broken
Of course, it was meant to be 2200m.
Interestingly, when Wizaway won a 57-68 over 2200m at Northam on 13/10/10 on a Good3 rail out 10m (same track rating and rail position as the Crispiano Maiden race) the winning time was 2:22.75.
Now if a 2:21.79 maiden is inconsistent with the advertised distance, what is a 2:22.75 57-68? Maybe this mistake was made but not detected before?
i have suspected for a while that they are back to their old ways, but am too busy with other things.
it's easier dealing with places that you know strive to be be better than the others, and take pride in what they do.
i suppose that's what you get when you are a huge bureaucracy that appears to have care of self as it's only responsibility, and do not appear to be answerable to anybody or anything.
if i was betting those races you can be sure i would already have known.
maybe it's that lack of professionalism that drives people away from the wa product.
you are ONLY attacked when you bring up nonsense that you won't or can't substantiate.
you have an agenda which i suppose is fair enough, but you never ever give any detail to back it up.
You can take that to the bank.
From what I am lead to believe is that this "revelation" has been a long time coming.
Tell the CEO to keep his powder dry...
