King i am in many camps I get sick and tired of people on here making piss poor remarks of a bloke whom made a mistake in his line of work. Have you ever made a mistake in your line of work and had someone post the obvious on a public forum for all the small minded jealous bottom feeders to grow a leg behind a computer and continue to throw potshots?

Be a man and tell him and not sit behind alias names. It may show that you yourself might have thet small % of character.

Do you even read the posts? Nobody has 'potted' him at all.

G Hall, whether he likes it or not, is participating in a reasonably popular and public sport. People are entitled to give their opinion on his drives, but not on his character.

As long as they discuss his drives, it is fair play on a forum such as this.

Trackman no one has potted him as a driver, but a L Harper or M Reed in the sulky he will never be, but you have to be pretty good to be just behind them

King, on the West Australian web page, under sport, under racing. Jo Potter at Williams 5 weeks ago did same thing, at the bell was out wide whipping and got 6 weeks for mis counting laps, Jnr got the same, Stewards were consistant with both cases, thats all we can ask for when we are driving, an even playing field and one rule book. It is a shame for WA racing that Junior will miss Pacing Cup and Hunter Cup in Victoria 5th Feb.

Yes he will never be a L.Harper or a M.Reed as he will never be disqualified.
  • Wasn't what I said Jim "L Harper or M Reed in the sulky he will never be"

he will never be disqualified., is your crystal ball telling you that?
well we hope not D/Q anyway
  • Im sure you know what I mean....but all cracks aside, GHall has driven more Perth winners than both of them. In 11 years GHall has driven 945 winners, in 27 years LB drove 880 and in 14 years MB has driven 613. No my feet arent hanging out his arse, its in the latest Racing Ahead.... :D

jimbob how many of them were his dad's most of whom can cover more ground then the early settlers once again not hard to drive good horses
  • Out of his last ten winners only four have been for Senior.
  • kanekane    46 posts
two of his last six wins have been for his dad which was quinn at $1.40 and i'm tim kelly $1.40 the other four winners island storm $1.30 jumbo operator at $1.60 soho daytona at $1.60 and coal fired which i will give him was a good drive at $5.70 six winners is fantastic but of those six winners only one of them has needed a good drive im not saying he can't drive he drives extremely well but to put him in the same category as lindsay harper or mark reed is still a bit rich at the moment im sure if you looked at their last ten winners there would of been less then five that were odds on jim you can call both of those boys cheats im not gunna talk about that subject but as reinsmen they have never cheated on the track let alone hit someone with a which or mistook the laps

I have read this entire topic and gee there are some knobs amongst you ready to pot Junior.

He has made a few mistakes in his life/career and he is the first bloke to put his hand up and admit them as he did saturday morning when we spoke.

Before I got involved into the training and driving side of things, I was a believer that perhaps the horses were the main reason for this bloke's success. However, if you sit back and watch his drives closely, he sums up the form in races exceptionally well and drives them accordingly. Punter's can have faith in him to give the horses every chance to win the race. He makes less tactical error's than probably anyone and takes more risks than any other driver I can think of(most of the time paying off). Lewis, Reed, Harper, Brown and Junior are all great drivers all with different styles and trademarks.

At the end of the day, Junior's stupid error is going to cost him glory and riches so there is no need for mysterious people sitting behind a computer to knock him.

Good drivers get good horses to pilot>Jumbo Operator hehe.

Get your facts right Kane before you get on here preaching shit...LB has been charged with hitting someone in a race....Snr. He got time for it but it was reduced to a fine.
You are right, he will never be as good as them because he has already surpassed them.

Which horse and race did Gary got six weeks for? What happened?
  • kanekane    46 posts
if you are right jimbob i apologize for that as far as i knew lindsay as well as the late great phil coulson had hit senior in the changerooms i didn't realise lindsay's was in the race you are probably correct so i will admit i was wrong i'll take your word for it cause i ain't chasing it up
  • kanekane    46 posts
do you think jimbob and knowmeform that maybe he does get to drive more favourites then the average driver and dont preach this crap its because he's a good driver that aside does he not get to drive more quality because hs is lucky enough to have a leading stable behind him unlike the other boys for the record im far from saying he can't drive he does drive very good im just standing by i dont believe he's not as good as chris mark and lindsay but i guess its just a mug punters opinion
  • knowmeformknowmeform    23 posts
jumbo operator, soho daytona, island storm and coal fired were all good things on the weekend, the stable wasn't behind him then!

If you had $10 on every drive of Jnr's you would get a good run for your money and back a lot of winners but would end up a long way behind. You would get a far better run for your money backing Lewis or Woodley.
And if you had $10 on every horse LBH tried on in his heyday you could retire, but you needed to know which ones they were.

Junior, if you read this site then you should go and find a big strong tree with dependable branches, throw a rope over one of the branches with a noose already made and hang yourself.

This may sound severe but after reading some of these posts it appears you are a useless driver with no ability and the winners that you have driven have all been lucky drives.

Personally I like you Junior. Those that do know you will always hold you in high esteem for many reasons. Your sense of humour is beyond belief. You are lazy in a lovable manner and surprisingly you do drive well. I know that I don't have any idea about the driving side of things but you do go alright at the caper.

If you do choose to utilize the noose I would like to be there for the send off and I'm sure a lot of your fellow drivers will be in attendance.

Once again, it has been a pleasure knowing you Junior but because you have limited ability in the sulky it is time to die at the sword of the faceless names on this site.

    RIP Junior

bit rough punk dont think anyone on here has said he has no idea or can't drive just a few people disagree with another few people's opinion that he may be the best driver in the state there just opinions im sure gary is used to punters bagging him and praising him its all a part of being a sportsman
  • Typical, everytime someone has a rebuttal for you boys, you come up with the same response....its like "no one said this and no one said that". Cut your posts short and you are saying Jnr cant drive winners unless they are Daddies. Yes he was hit with the lucky stick and has had the opportunity to drive nicer horses and more winners than most other drivers. He has 20 good years left in him to drive in which I have no doubt he will surpass anyones tally of winners, not really sure how much more he has to do to get respect and not nitpicked over every mistake he has made. The guy that mistook laps at Williams 5 weeks ago, how come he hasnt received a pay for that on here? Jnr is not the 1st person to make mistakes out there, and Im pretty sure he wont be the last. The better the driver you are, the better the horses you get on, therefore the more winners you drive. To be honest its a lot harder to drive good horses than it is to drive bad ones as you are always under the microscope and theres people like most of you there to rake him over if he stuffs up.
Im with Surburban Punk, ill bring the rope Junior.

first of all the bloke at williams five weeks ago never got ridiculed because that bloke was a girl second of all she was a c class driver with a concession who's probably had 50 drives in her career
  • RazorSharpRazorSharp    439 posts
See if he has enough rope for you Punk, he is the leading driver and has made 2 Huge mistakes in the last few months, what? we cant comment on that?

I have yet to read anywhere that someone on here has said he cant drive,

We have Jimbob who has only posted on this thread, is it Jimbob Hall?

So he has made 2 blews, not small ones either, do we put a blindfold on and say we wont talk about that?

Chop Read copped heaps on here over the last few months, I have not seen you jump to his defence Punk, or do have a blindfold on.

Funny that, a C class driver can only drive at trials.

Is it Razorsharp or Bowlingball blunt? How can you defend someone who has been disqualified???? And yes its Jimbob Hall, only I have a bigger gap

I must apologize RazorSharp for not sticking up for Mark Reed.

I am a big fan of Mark Reed in the sulky and as a trainer, yes as a trainer despite the fact that he is taking an enforced break at the moment.

I have promoted Mark Reed in my capacity on countless occasions over many many years and do not need to be told who I should stick up for on this forum.

When Reed returns I will promote him again, even though many racing industry members won't like that but I will always be a big fan despite this indiscretion which he is doing time for.

I'm sure Hall Jnr would rather hang with someone else but I will ask to see if he does want company.

He obviously has made mistakes and in the past I have openly commented about some of those mistakes in the media and haven't endeared myself to the Hall camp. Such is life.

I am by no means blindfolded, i don't need to comment on every thread on PTT. Sometimes I view for the sake of viewing and other times if I feel it pertinent I will comment.

I just get annoyed at the constant barrage of criticism that can be levelled at individuals on this site. Sure everyone is entitled to an opinion just as I respect yours, it doesn't mean I have to agree and vice versa but the stinging attacks directed at individuals at times does give me the shits.

I might just go and get that rope myself and end my miserable life.

I love you Cub and I love you Jnr and I love you RazorSharp. xxx

which posts Punk? No one has said he is a bad driver, and that all his drives have been lucky.

He made 2 mistakes, which were commented on, that is what the forum is all about.

I must have missed the constant barrage of critisism and stinging attacks aimed at Jnr.

The David Shortte thread must give you constant trips to the toilet

I also respect your opinion, and have mostly agreed with most things you have commented on, think your a little off the mark here. I also think G Hall drives well, drives Snrs horses how they suppose to be driven, hard. Hope he drives 5 winners Fri night and I back a couple of them, but dont think Imthemightyquinn will be one of them

But I dont love you yet  you arnt trying hard enough
