Classy WA filly Tuscan Queen might have run her last race. Tuscan Queen won both the WA Oaks and WATC Derby (2400m) in recent weeks but the Fastnet Rock filly has sustained a tendon injury. Perth broadcaster TAB Radio reported Tuscan Queen has a tear in a deep flexor tendon, which requires a minimum of 12 months off the scene. Racing and Wagering WA journalist Julio Santarelli reported the extent of the damage was discovered when vets operated on the three-year-old. Vets initially treated Tuscan Queen with ice and anti-inflammatory medication but the problem failed to settle, which prompted the surgery. Owner Bob Peters had the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups in mind for Tuscan Queen in the spring. TAB had Tuscan Queen as a $26 chance in Caulfield Cup betting.

  • I THINK THEY ARE A BIT FEILD SHY AFTER SEEING THE VISION OF THE LAST RACE AT ASCOT 3RD FEB.
  • I have to agree with you on that ladygodiva. I also think the board who resigned shouldn't be allowed to renominate. I'd like to see them have their membership suspended for bringing the ARC into disrepute. Maybe they should take a look at Esperanc…
  • The 2 from Mauritius have finished their time and he has 2 girls ( Webster and Riordon) that are riding in trials plus the apprentice from Hong Kong. Campbell leaves on Sunday but has extended his time by 3 months apprenticed to RWWA.
  • An apprentice has arrived here from Hong Kong to be with Parnham. Has a 2 year stay they say. Has ridden in a lot of trials in Hong Kong.
  • I have a share in 2 with Grant and Alana(an eyebrow in each) and find them very switched on. Feedback is good and very professional.
  • Sorry, I didn't see the interview and was going on his finishing date in the racing calendar. Hopefully he will sign on until he has used all his claim. Either way I wish him all the best whichever way it goes.
  • Luke Campbell finishes his apprenticeship in 10 days.

  • one more winner today and they pass the million dollars stake money for this season.
  • Bob is a difficult man to train for - a constant in the ears of the trainer - would drive you nuts - just ask past trainers GW and Danny O'brien. The horses are easier to train than a majority of the owners.
  • Apprentice Luke Campbell will remain in the Alfred Hospital overnight after he was injured in a race fall at Ladbrokes Park Sandown on Sunday. The 21-year-old was transported to hospital in a conscious state with suspected shoulder and knee soreness,…

  • you would have to cast your mind back many years that bob did not have a preceived stranglehood on all races over our carnival...all in the a&gw yard. last year he had a full scoop of the 4 main races. this year he will be lucky to have 1...2 at…

  • I loved it, won it twice.
  • Pretty sure it was Grants decision, the agreement was longer working for Grant, they will train plenty of winners in the future, but maybe not as many big ones I agree, but maybe Bob won't win as many big one's as well.I think Grantham will do well …
  • i do not know if there is any deep seated animosity between bob and grant w. if they are still "talking" it would not be economical of bob not to place, what he considers his best, with grant. just look at the success they had together. I believe th…

  • GP is not RWWA's to sell. It is owned by the Gloucester Park Harness Racing Club.It requires a high percentage vote of the membership (2/3rds or maybe 3/4's) to agree to sale. They don't own Albany either.
  • Well done to Luke Campbell on winning his first race......and his 2nd 40 minutes later! It has taken the kid a while to get the first one on the board but I don't think he has done much wrong on the way. May have been a bit frustrated lately to get …

  • It really is his call what he wants to do but if he is stranded over there with his family here don't complain. You would think eventually they will have the same rules Australia wide. His choice.
