From the website, this undated release:
Racing WA advises that, following consultation with the Breeders, Owners, Trainers and Reinspersons
Association (BOTRA)......I don't recall being consulted ...... and the Harness Racing Owners Association Western Australia (HROAWA), the policy
relating to the wearing of registered colours in harness racing has been amended.
Association (BOTRA)......I don't recall being consulted ...... and the Harness Racing Owners Association Western Australia (HROAWA), the policy
relating to the wearing of registered colours in harness racing has been amended.
The policy currently provides that “horses shall only race in the registered colours of either the owner or
trainer as nominated on a Stable Return lodged by the trainer.”
The policy will now permit the use of registered driver colours in races.
The amended policy makes the use of registered driver colours optional; it remains at the discretion of trainers
and owners which registered colours they elect to utilise on their horse.
Comment: No thanks, if the driver wishes to contribute to paying the trainers account, maybe, otherwise, as it has been forever, my horse will race in my colours. Full stop.
+1 -1

North American Pacing might not be the blue print to alot of our issues , but its definitely worth looking at other Pacing bodies and looking into different innovation used that could possibly have a positive effect on our industry, rather than sit here and do nothing which is what seems to happen. As I said purely my opinion the colours the drivers use dont have an impact on whether my horses are competitive or not , be interesting to see the views of other owners/trainers

from memory was it not you who referred to having a debate with me akin to debating a mentally challenged child or something along those lines ? Lets not talk about ego when someone's happy enough to go down those lines of attempted personal attacks , this is a forum for everyone's opinion on harness racing topics yea ? Or is this just your public platform to air your issues and anyone else with a different view is just mud on the bottom of your shoe ?

Intelligent individuals wouldnt dare attempt to confront and verbally abuse other participants in a public setting such as the stalls at the Pinjarra trots during a race meeting would they now ? Would be a real grub move from a licensed participants wouldn't you agree ?

no one else's fault that you cant be adult enough to respectfully disagree with others opinions and feel the need to personally degrade others, decent and respectful dialogue with other members must be hard for some
