York Cup meeting 9-11-25

West Australian Racing
Wow, Keshaw said after winning on Rivercrest Magic that Mack Hall told him the pace would be hot. No kidding when the stablemate went like the clappers out in front. I bet the stewards miss it completely or is team riding allowed these days?

Well  you have to respect the rules of the gallops dont you , and maybe what they did was within the rules - im not saying  for one moment that the rules are correct

But i can remember many years back when i followed the gallops and the great C S Hayes was getting a little bit frustrated with Vo Rogue winning everything , with those tear away front running tactics , and there was a big race coming up and Colin went public and said im going to put a pacemaker in the race - basically to go toe to toe with VoRogue , and that would suit some of Hayes stablemates

And the stewards said that is fine , you are allowed to have a pacemaker in the race

i am sure the Stipes would not let a stablemate say take on Vo Rogue, then gone at the top of the lane & beaten 40 lengths, regardless of, if Vo Rogue won, or got beat.  Back in the day I think Cyril would have upped the ante just a bit & say keep up if you can. Here's some great memories

So they have the same stewards at the trots as gallops.
Its just a good laugh to read the stewards report, they
have no idea or don't care. 30 minutes reviewing the
start off the first race today (nothing to see here, surely
    could be quicker)

I was just going through my tipping thread and saw I tipped Sowar in Feb 2020! Here he is winning the $70k York Cup almost 6 years later. That's longevity.
