Hadn't heard that snoop, but not had anything to do with them for a long time. As an ex member(first time for over a decade I wont be renewing my membership this new season coming) they have totally lost the plot chasing the new members and General Public rather than accommodating the members.

It's terrible for the staff - we have just got rid of hundreds at our work - but not surprising when they keep going off on tangents that seems to disengage members.

With the team they have together over there if it can get worse they will find a way to do it!!

Perhaps a new business strategy put in place ??? No good when people lose there jobs but have to wait and see them outcome

Have just sent an e-mail asking for information as a member. When I recently let them know I was not re-newing my membership I have phone calls and e-mails coming my way within 10 minutes. Lets see how long they take to reply to a slightly harder and more awkward situation.

I thought as members (as close as you can get to shareholders) they would have notified us of changes and cost cutting measures  as soon as those changes were put in place??

Interfering non paid executives at Perth Racing over the last decade on the Committee, have slowly destroyed the business. Successive CEO's have had to implement policies based on ill conceived ideas and pie in the sky dreams of palaces of gold and riches to be made our of racing horses in Perth. Rather than just concentrate on their core business, Perth Racing have blown opportunity after opportunity to create growth and now reality has bitten.

So now the people who are paying for these follies are the staff. I feel desperately sorry for them as they didn't deserve to be the cannon fodder.

I hope everyone finds a better job than what they had. I know many of them personally, I sincerely wish them all the best and good luck.

    last I heard, over 10

Just heard the first one I thought to be on the list, was the one wielding the axe!!! Quite bizarre, and yes a lot of the staff work tirelessly to look after us members.

Heard the same thing Para. All from different departments trying to save a buck with no long term vision in place yet again. Hopefully doesn't stain their future endeavours mentioning where they came from.

    Para,
Maybe they should be looking at management in head office instead of the workers that are only doing what they are told to do. They have employed two new GM's in the last two years and have they made a difference? NO!! Attendance's have dropped and Ascot Opening Day was a disgrace. A lot of money has been spent for little to no return.

According to the West today there were 20 redundancies, most from the vision department as PR no longer provides wision to RWWA as it has been contracted out

That is correct Tony. I think the cost to upgrade all the equipment was too much for PR, so an Eastern States Company won the bid. There wasn't a lot of full time staff for vision as they used a lot of casuals for the camera positions.
