Going to be a cracker on Saturday.

Purton goes onto To The World. Nick hall is a little upset about it to say the least.

Best Sydney cup I've seen for a long time.

I'm paraphrasing but did Darwyn? from Perth Racing say that some 20,000 West Australians travelled to Sydney for the Championships? They didn't get 20,000 total to the Golden Slipper so someone is telling him porkies.

Saw it. Was thinking "who are you working for here? and what are you trying to achieve?" The numbers didn't concern me but promoting someone else's carnival when ours is on the bones of it ass, well, this would have to be the dumbest thing I have seen come out of that office in a long long time.

Official crowd on Doncaster day was 11575. 4 Group 1s and just under 12000. Hmmm. Saturday would have got more but still that's not a lot for such quality racing. Imagine if we had those fields in Perth?

And given the "official" figures are anything but factual, those numbers are alarming.

Take out the Spring Carnival and crowd numbers in Australia are alarming.

Race 2 No 4 Thinking Of You

Race 3 No 14 Electric Power.... $26 is monstrous overs. Price is staggering.

    Race 6 No 2 Winx

Race 7 No 12 Telepathic .... Another at 20-1 that should be around the mark

Race 8 Hartnell and Protectionist will run the quinella.

Race 9 Adelaide the forgotten horse looks a decent bet at the $8 or $9 especially on the wet track.

    Race 10 Atmospherical.

    Best Bet : Electric Power

It's a shame that contributor is scratched but if you are keen on To THe World you haven't lost much because $3.30 is still available.

How will he go on the heavy Linc ? We know criterion will love it.

Cheers boys I got a nice slice of the first four and a brilliant place price the other day. Really wanted to back ottoman the price was huge but they obviously weren't confident on the going hence the overs.

Just on Moreira they aren't going to let him waltz over here and have it his own way anymore. All the other jocks would be talking about giving him no favours which should go without saying with all jocks to be honest.

Incredible that Ottoman jumped $1.30 on debut at Rosehill on December 20 and won and a horse called Pride Of Dubai finished third.
    Nice tipping @obrienrb

Adelaide going back to Aidan O'Brien as well

If that is the case Damien, I hope it is not a knee jerk reaction to the run today. The track conditions did not suit the horse, Waller and O'Brien publicly stated that.

They have to be very careful with Adelaide from a Stallion perspective. If he does have a weakness, they need to know that otherwise it really hurts his value to get results like today.

I think you will find that was always their intention.

With group 1 wins in USA and Australia a group 1 in Europe would top it all off.

Interestingly they (Coolmore) said this morning they were not very confident of today with the rain affected track.
