I've already had my say on this f###ing joke. No f###ing excuse. Record the f###ing things with a smart phone if you have to but just f###ing record them. Lazy f###ers!

When this elitist attitude regarding paying to watch replays came in I telephoned the turf club to complain, I was told by a bloke whose tie was strangling his thick neck, that it is our product, and if you want to play you will have to pay.
We are going forward and if you don't want to join we wont miss you.

Well let me tell you pal you can stick you replays where the sun don't shine.
I still bet , but it is overseas where the replays and other coverage is not only first class but infinitely better.
And your attitude has cost your club countless dollars in revenue.

Do you think I should ring RWWA and offer them the following ?

Buy a DSLR, they are including a 200mm lens, around $3,000. Buy a video fluid head for a heavy duty tripod, buy one of those as well. Then add a high speed 90 mb/s CF card for movies, 32GB or higher, and then you can record the entire mornings trials. All up capitol start up cost, $5,000.

Bring it back to the PC at the office, edit very simply naming each trial, and have someone with limited ability, and we have a couple of them, call the trial of course knowing the results so accuracy is somewhere around 100%. Upload  it to Youtube, they provide accounts for no charge, then post the links and everyone gets to see whichever trial they want and it is all free.

Well except for the person who filmed, edited, and posted the files. But that could be a contractor if you don't have anyone in the building with those skills.

Problem solved and a better cost effective service for the Industry.

In respect to fat assed tie wearers, they refer to it as a product. Yet they live off the back of Owners paying up for expensive stock, then sticking it to the same owners when they wish to see how their stock is progressing.

It is the same attitude to the tight control of the media in Perth. They think they can control and dictate, but all they have done is make the 'product' obscure.

    Idiots.

I have no issue paying for the service however if you pay then you expect the service to deliver. The Lark Hill trial situation is a flat out disgrace. Perth Racing have their head in the sand if they think otherwise. All people care about is the vision. You don't need to even have someone call them. Viewing is what is paramount.

Also deplorable that Esperance & Geraldton trials are not uploaded.

Memo to the respective turf clubs - you want turnover increased well pull your finger out and make sure your trials are uploaded ASAP. It is not that hard.

I am not all negative. Bunbury Turf Club - well done. You do a magnificent job.

Bit rough, trials are pretty tough to call when you only get 2 minutes to learn the colours once the changes come through...

Looking at the results and then re-recording the audio for public consumption has been done in times past when there were technical difficulties.

Doing it that way would be an ideal way for an inexperienced caller to hone his or her skills.

This, plus your comments on dressing up, or down [ note how the trainers are lifting their dress sense on race days, shirt and tie and it does look much more proffessional and in line with eastern states and isnt that what we aspire to at least] and other put down comments, you are a nag Damien.
