Anyone caught up with the Twitter blue between Daniel Ganderton and Peter Robl very strange how a has been jockey who basically rides bugger all over here goes on Twitter and take potshots at Blake Shinn no wonder his mate Peter Robl has stepped up to defend his best mate.

    I have openly criticised Ganderton in previous posts so not jumping on the bandwagon here this guy is a very ordinary bloke and have had the same opinion expressed to me by a couple of Perth's leading trainers. Needs to pull his head in or he is going to disappear into the abyss although by his comments on twitter he has already resigned himself to that. Weak as p#^s comments by a lost little boy!!

    If DG was riding horses on Saturday instead of sitting on his ass throwing shit for reason it might have helped because as far as i no his job is to ride horses but doesnt seem to do a lot of that the kid is on a working holiday every day again another meet today and he has no rides !!!! to much time on his hands

    i never go down to the track in the mornings - sever allergy to getting out of bed before 7am - but is he down there at all??? Is he selective in who he rides down the track for or are people down the track selective of what horses they let him on???

    And i heard early on that he is doing his own management..Is this still true??

    It does not matter if I am a good, bad or indifferent bloke just remember brains I am not the one who went on twitter and attacked an innocent party if he wants to carry on like this it is open season.

    I am clearly on Gandertons side here. I agree stronger with his comments, Shinn was pathetic on TVN. Where does it stop with social media. I just read John Kissisks comments on Facebook, he told a guy to f***k off. But I don't hear an investigation into that. As for Peter Robl. I can't believe people give him rides in the city. he has seen more pockets than my dirty hanky. Gets fined for smoking in the jockeys room all the time. He's a bum. You can see why he and his mate Shinn got up to dirty tricks.

    Mate ganderton doesn't need to resort to low acts like that mate he has a attitude problem and with his strike rate no wonder he doesn't get rides

    I don't see any problem with voicing your opinion in social media - everyone does it. Why should Jockeys be any different? There has been plenty of champions in all sporting codes that have had attitude in the past.

    ...maybe the true Champion can get away with it - because we are forgiving of any blemishes, given his talent level. 

    but Ganderton has never been and never will be, in that league!

    People's make mistakes he's entitled to try and turn his life around ganderton arrived here with the attitude he was better than everyone else his attitude stinks and should respect his fellow riders if he doesn't like him there is no need to turn to crap like he did

    Well it's up to him to change that perception. But keeping his head down and riding winners is a good start.
