whats peoples opinions of the interference on geiger rio and shaun odonnell

    I'll be very surprised if she doesn't get a lengthy suspension. It looked awful.

    She pulled out enough to get a run...but instead of getting going she continued laying into Geiger....silly.

    hi guys well here we go i pretty well forcast it since the BP/SP insedent some of these apprs need to be dealt with very seriously . these kids are becoming far to cavalier in there attitudes towards senior riders &officials not only did i witness it in alb i watch in horror as another apprs decides to ride with total disregard for her fellow jockeys that incedent was as bad if not worse than the perth cup a while back .she deserves at least 6 months plus 20 trial rides when she returns then maybe just maybe the rest of these kids MIGHT GET THE MESSAGE .& i'm sorry DM this is what i've been on about .the time of worring about upsetting some of these apprs has to end they are riding with complete disregard &NOT LISTENINGTO THOSE IN CHARGE ie JH LM & JC they need to do MORE . cheers. ps i really hope donga's OK

    Did she even look? Fair dinkum was pretty much on top of Donga's horses neck. Horrible ride

    i think a part of it was the horse racing erratically, however she was slow to try and straighten her mount, damage was done by then...
    any news is geiger rio is ok?

    did she even try to straighten her mount up but? i could see her hands n heels but no effort with her left arm to drag the horse away from shauns.
    Rio n shaun took a ugly fall, hope both are ok!

    Looked to me, she's on the fence and angled out and tried to go forward but as been said was hanging , got forward but not enough, and two horses could have nearly come down, not just the one, and the rest of the field behind would have gone like dominos.... very bad ride and I think being on the favourite, where she was in the race, at that time, she PANICKED!!! Already, was thinking up an excuse for not winning!!! AHEM, well.... I thought!!!....

    General: On Inquiry Apprentice N. Faithfull (KALAHAAR) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless
    riding under ARR.137(a) for riding her mount outwards when insufficiently clear causing
    GEIGER RIO (S. O’Donnell) to blunder, fall and dislodge its rider near the 50m. In this incident
    ACORNS (J. Azzopardi), EVEN ASTAR (S. Parnham), METAL TALK (A. Hearn) and LEMIEUX (S.
    Meeres) all received interference to varying degrees. Apprentice N. Faithfull was subsequently
    suspended from riding in races for a period of 30 days to commence from midnight 16 January
    2013 and to expire at midnight 15 February 2013.

    :-? :-? So she gets 30 days and fair enough but at the same little Willie is still riding while P Hall still picks dirt out of his hair and teeth after little Willie sent him to the turf, doesn't sound right to me.

    YEEHAAA God help us all !!! IMO.... The master has a lot to answer to!! He should be doing his job and educating apps and not using them as labour and look to whats happening, I"ve ridden for lots in the past and they dont usually do FA except leg you up and get horses fit for racing!!

    First up, Guilty as pleaded and rightly so, penalty for mine very light, but us keyboard executioners don't set the penalties. Agree with Alternatvu too, too many reprimands not enough penalties

    Gee Squirt you come on here all high and mighty spewing out your opinions, and have the audacity to not even know who her master is, yet accuse of him of slave labor. Watch your back he may come looking for you.

I see lots of people with opinions on here and being a newbie on here I had a say, saw the race and had to say something!! I think I'll go back to lurking and let you few keep doing what you do best! Also why should I watch my back?

    Wolfe wasn't on track today so it was up to Lindsay smith to be her representative. I don't think Lindsay wasted too much breath defending her, he was probably as disgusted at her ride as most here are.

    Anyhow, Donga is fine and the horse will be ok, so lucky for the kid no real harm was done. This may be just the kind of shake up she needed.

    There you go Squirt all your comments in one quote,you say no idea who master is but sure he is using apprentices as labour, and she is selective who she rides for, I always thought an apprentices master had the final say on that.. She has done the crime now she will do the time, think that a few more should too, far too many reprimands and falls and horses careers ruined by these incidents and been galloped on

    all it takes is for trainers to ignore her when the 30 days are up.
