Tell me . . . how many times? I remember one last year or year before, and the previous one 13 years ago. But maybe my memory fails me??

All things relative ($ spent of staff etc), metro has far more cock ups than Kal. IMO.

Jut off the top of my head, yesterday  , the towel affair Battle Scene (Aug 2010), and earlier that season, the lead bag off one that won (Sonny Biscay 30/3/2010) was disqualified, also Be Smart disqulaified (15 Aug 2010)

In that same period pretty sure Albany,Barker add on Narrogin did not have any.

Makes me wonder what is actually happening at the other tracks!

This occurrence isn't isolated to Kal, only difference is it is being picked up in Kal.

A few questions should be asked at a few other tracks I reckon.

wasnt there a wrong horse presented to race? was that kal or somewhere else? icy pole or something. I have a shocking memory tho so dont hold me to that.

Yep, I think it was in 2008 when another horse, I can't remember it's name, raced as Zubizaretta.
Also from memory, I think that someone was deputizing for the trainer in his absence and only the trainer picked it up a few days later and he notified the stewards.

Day Of Reckoning was the horse that raced as Zubizaretta.

    Icy Pole was down here.

Renee Forrest weighed in light a couple of weeks ago in town ....

So they are better because they make heaps of errors and get caught out and the others are worse because they dont. Defensive and strange logic.

Same panel of stewards oversee all meetings.

Maybe we just admit that they are having a very ordinary run.

Battle Scene - Trainers fault it weighed in light - Stewards paid out from memory after accepting misleading reports

Be Smart - Jockey weighed in light

Day of Reckoning/Rubizaretta - Trainer (and fill in) but stewards should have picked this up also

Sonny Biscay - Jockey weighed in light

Ron's Gem - Lead was found at 500m mark. Not sure if this means poor gear or saddling up.

Just a my quick thoughts on who is at fault. Feel free to corect if I have it wrong.

No doubt a poor run but on review jockeys have caused the two light weigh ins.

Whilst not there mistakes stewards should have picked up the wrong horse and not paid out on the missing towel. Trainer and deputising trainer both now based in greater metro area.

So effectively stewards (rwwa appointed) jockeys (mainly apprentices from metro stables, the same jockeys that ride at ascot, pinjarra, roebourne, albany etc) and trainers (no longer based in the region) are responsible/could have prevented the errors.

I understand that all have happened in Kal but, in the main, hardly the fault of the club, geography etc

Danish that is a fair assessment.

My point it is pretty ordinary to defend one club by insinuating others are are either not up to it or worse that they are covering up.

    Ok fair enough. BUT

London Court / Jolanta Star photo bungle gets massive coverage, paper, radio, TV (admittedly it was for the win).

Mendicity dead heat howler in a Stakes race, Sat metro at a prime meeting, with all the technology and staff expenditure, top brass stewards, not even mentioned anywhere apart from here. Hell the Stewards didn't even bother correcting it.
