    Will be very interesting to see how Universal Ruler goes first-up over 1500m....

    Must point out, isn't the only one that's first up

    More worried about him being in the gate next to a mare than the first up trip personally

    Reckon we can expect a better run from Roman Time.

    Forget the run with Lisa up.

    Elliotto the one to beat on it's last run

    Grand Nirvana the horse to beat of the first up brigade and the stayers Star Encounter and Dante's Banquet first up could surprise!

    1500 metres won't see Dante's Banquet perform as a stayer. I think midrace shout will be. '' Which way did Dasher Dan go." :roll: :roll:

    I'm not so sure. Perplexed by this go on player for him, these must be some magic blinkers he's gonna wear. Has he had some sort of topical treatment for the windburn Elliotto gave him?

    The more and more I look at his career, I reckon he might just be the magic 'o' word . . . . .

    He can win tomorrow, but he's big unders in my book.

    i rate the stablemate a better hope than GN, RT can and may lead if not will sit just outside the Banquet and get a soft run, the last 100 might just see out Elliotto so he's not going in my quaddie! willing to risk it

    Hashy the way Elliotto hit the line last start over 7 furlongs and another yard he would have beaten Kasabian so to me the 1500m is taylor made with the good gate and weight the jock is the only problem .

    i know that and was aware i left myself open for such a respond to my previous post, just a feeling el's a bit of a lay tmrw, willing to risk, may and probably will be wrong but im sticking my neck out in saying i dont rate it tmrw

    Thing to remember though Dungy is that the extra 100m is at the start of the race, not the end........(ie straight doesn't get any longer because it's a longer race)

    And the further they've run before it, the less energy they have left to flash like that.

    I here what your saying Tivs but the fact is Elliotto sectionals was the best by a mile and carried more weight than the winner 2 kg in the AB and can see him getting the same run if thats the case will be going straight over the top of them

    I'm not sure she can win tomorrow but I reckon Star Encounter will the horse everyone will be talking about after the race.

    Trainer wasnt upbeat about either this morning on RR ,Lords Ransom is a 5 L better stayer than Star Encounter if he has come back o.k the Perth Cup is as good as over

    Should have stuck with my initial thoughts!

    GN a real danger in the Railway, if he can sneak a place in the field. Got way back and found brickwalls all the way up the straight

    Was on Ellioto big time but seen 2 things beat today that were simply great runs Thorn Dancer 3 deep last ,Col Correct 3+ 4 deep no cover entire this is a serious horse and will figure in the Railway next year but his last 2 rides [Ponty] have been dead set avg on Col Correct

    I'm interested as to why you thought Elliotto was a lay at the 1500m. At its last start at 1400m it hit the line very hard.
