Thought we needed a poll since the great Jimbo couldn't find him in the first four

Should have these two covered, I think Urban Waltz is the one to beat.

Thanks to whoever put him last on the voting.

last time marleycombe ran against urban waltz he was bumped after awkward jump out, was then held up till the 2000 metres and finished only 1 1/2 lengths behind urban waltz. nearly equal talent , so i reckon they will be fighting out the finish. only one horse for either to beat.

No worries tete, extra ground will suit him and I want a price! Let Urban Waltz take all the short money and I'll happily take around 5-1

I'm onboard and I think he can win!

edit - just noticed Urban Waltz is nominated for the Albany Cup, be a very low price if they scratch in favour of the cup, but almost certainly hand the race to Marleycombe, in that case!

I think TETE is still looking for a nice small property. He has a Triple Crown agenda in mind. If he pulls it off ( Marleycombe Farm ) has a nice ring as a property name.

Good Luck Tete.....but for the record I think the toppie is a certainty. Maybe you should think about setting your bloke for our cup.....if for no other reason than an excuse to go to the best cup in WA......that should get some bites.

needs a strong tempo to show his best - cant sprint at all - missing the start didnt help either

still reckon he would make a great hurdler

Finished where? (for those at work)

Last and few lengths behind the 2nd last horse. Sorry to be a killjoy Tete, but you might be better cutting your losses with that one mate. That was just a plodding effort.

Beside Personal Drum(who I think you mentioned as once being trained here)---do you know of any WA horses who have raced successfully over the jumps?

Actually finished last in 6th place.

Shaun told us he had nothing when asked for an effort and the race was run so slowly that he was always going to be left behind when they sprinted. The start was a concern, hopefully he didnt hurt himself.

Maybe time to let go TeTe.
Horses that can only run 36 + final sectionals at their best do not win many races anywhere, so maybe best to concentrate on one that can run low 35s

Wasn't True Steel sent over there to go over the hurdles?

True but this horse is not a liability to me, so I will let the majority owner and Trainer decide on his future.

Why dont you send him to kal for the stayers series, might be better than sending him round and round down there for no return, are you leaving ancient up here or is it a one of.....
