    Can see Bank Robber from a good gate being the horse to beat.

    Anything from 1-10 will see him really shorten in.

    Marasco has drawn wide and with topweight makes it a hard task.
    Gilded Venom drawn middle of the ruck, hopefully can get cover.

    The best thing about Marasco drawing barrier 14 is I will get a better price about him. And you know what they say, the better the price, the more you put on. Go you good thing!

    Dead right Broome ,i reckon 6.50 and 2.37 is a gift from heaven this bloke has to give the field weight but he always carriers huge weights so 57.5 is a pleasant change for him and 14 at the gate isnt a problem he will go back and be in the running line he will be in the first 3 there is no doubt about that !!!! best chance of the locals by a long way then probably Gided Venom and Famous Roman but will have to make his run from the 600m and could round them up quite easy he will be very wide on straightning

    A visiting trainer thought that camped just off the speed was the only way to win this race, he agreed a leader will get run over and that the pace may not be frantic as there are more back markers than known leaders running. Thoughts were that this race will be won with a winning move 800M from home and whilst some may be running on, he believed that placed in the top 8 at the 800M point and going forward would be the winning move.

    I think Gilded Venom will have Famous Roman camped on his back again, and Marasco in tow, trying to cover them both. All three will be attempting to swoop down the middle of the track chasing Snipers Bullet and Rightfully Yours who will have been just off the speed and trying to make a break at the 600M

    can see bank robber kicking a couple in front straightening and being very hard to run down. the last bit up the hill might pull him up though.

    Great field, can't see me leaving the couch on Saturday. Surprised by the poll so far that Marasco has 3 times the vote of a horse such as Bank Robber.

    Don't think Bank Robber will win, has been a long campaign and something will run it down.

    Marasco is the classiest horse in the field, but obv wide barrier with weight is a concern.

    From the eastern staters I like Snipers Bullet, has been running consistently at top level, has a nice barrier and is ready to win...

    Keep on making cases for everything bar Marasco, and hopefully I will get even better than the $6.50 currently on offer. Home track, attractive weight, best jockey, best horse, what more can you ask for, just load up again and again and again. Might be able to have an extended holiday over the festive season if his price holds up!

    Marasco's racing pattern and the big field I don't find particularly attractive.

    His pilot could find traffic in an exhibition gallop. I'll leave him alone.

    You leave him alone then Darkshines do us all a favour then we get a better price !! ive got no complaints about his pilot his a mile infront on the jocks table at the moment and by far the best we have here by a country mile -good luck

    The odds on Tarzi seem a bit extraordinary & has a nice barrier. Never been one of my betting buddies, but could easily run a place .

    Ill be going Famous Roman, flying this prep. Marasco of course hard to beat. And if speed on, i can see Hartleys Dream repeating a run similar to last years! Wish i wasnt at work, cant even have a bet :(

    They have knocked back Damien Oliver and stuck with Paddy Carberry :( Surely would have been better to have offered Patrick an equal commission as they did with Kingy and Famous Roman..

    Bit of different situation - like it or not Carbery has won a Group 3 on the horse and just missed a second one on Saturday. I think the owners are doing the right thing and being loyal to a bloke who has won them over 100k in the last fortnight!

    Ive a small doubt too, but he only got beat a head by a head in The Chelmsford Stks at WFA behind Casino Prince and Tuesday Joy - pretty good formline for a race like this. His run 2 starts ago was massive to say the least, and then he was never a hope in the Emirates, but his sectionals were ok.

    imo i can safely say the race will be run at a decent clip..? bank robber beat the storm leads, annenkov & RF will be on pace, dont think it will be an issue, this lot are racing for over half a mill 1st prize, forget the race not being run true. we just pray there is no major track bias...

    Marasco is the best horse in WA atm, but he is terribly weighted, especially when compared to a horses that has won at G1 level. Bank Robber is potentially the best horse in the race. Actually like Gilded Venom at the light weight
