Well done. That photo was from 2008 at Kalgoorlie when the judge gave it to the outside London Court (Neville Parnham) over the favourite Jolanta Star in the Steve Wolfe colours.
I ended up filtering the official image to make it obvious an error had occurred. Later on the stewards reversed the placings but allowed London Court's connections to keep the winning prizemoney. They paid out Jolanta Star's connections too but the poor old punters got shafted as the error wasn't fixed up until I pointed it out, long after correct weight had been given.

It's happened a couple of times, horses heads morph and it becomes a bit of an optical illusion. Not being careful enough.

In this case the inside horse was a grey. They have better quality images than us too. Should never happen.

    Wow that's interesting.

Saw a photo recently overseas whereby the heads morphed and an hour or two later they changed the result - kept looking at it and thought no the judge has got that correct...kept looking and looking no nothing then..oh i see it now.

It was remarkable - fooled the judge and me that one.

If the photo finish can be that inaccurate then that makes the excuse for banning a horse wearing a pulling net, even more farcical. The provided excuse is that a 2mm thick mesh blown hard against a horses nose going to the line, will alter the photo finish!

What about that Truer Memorial years back 100k race might have been grp 1 or 2 status at Bankstown Trots - the saga went for about 3 years , controversial photo - they may have  reversed the result at a later date then it ended up in the Supreme Court of NSW , i dont know what the end result

Im trying to think the horses involved , maybe Franco Tiger , and the other side might have been a Darren Hancock or Dennis Wilson trained pacer

Marko, Master Musician had beaten Franco Tiger in a photo finish, there was a protest 2nd against 1st on grounds of interference which was dismissed.
Later Franco Tigers trainer Glen Tippett took the decision to the Supreme Court ,which was overturned and Franco Tiger was awarded the race.
