...and then going under the hammer, we should have a guess what she goes for...i reckon 150k.

Surely you jest Falcon. Walsh will surely breed with her for many moons to come.

I'm not into mares sale prices, but you'd need a few million I'd think to buy Amelia ? Maybe 3-5 million ? Anybody have a better idea of what this mare would be worth, only 1 Group 1 win but reasonably lightly raced and many foals to come if remains healthy

Closer to $3M if offered in the National Broodmare Sale on the Gold Coast in the last week of May.

She can most likely be covered early in the season by one of the leading Stallions in The Hunter Valley.

Most likely in the sights of Coolmore or Mr Zhao

Well well well, she is in the Inglis Chairman's Sale coming up. I'm shocked.
I guess Walsh is just a business person after all.

Arcadia Queen sold for 3.2 million.
Amelia Jewels sire stands at 360k. her half brother won two million.
Some unbelievable runs first Quokka standing up Overpass 8- 10 lengths running him to a nose beating Bella Nipotina in process from outside gate.

IMO the second up run in Melbourne. when the stable believed she was only 80 percent.and she ran Pride of Jenni down, she never reproduced the level of desire again.

    2 million wouldn't surprise.

I still struggle to comprehend that Jenni run. Her Champions Mile and Empire Rose runs were enormous too, just a couple off that elite G1 quality.

It's good she found the winners circle one more time too.

She was GOOD not GREAT, one G1 win isn't enough. Hoping she'll be fine Falc and drop a couple of good types

I've more been of the belief that if they were raced a lot/ over-taxxed ie. Pride of Jenni, they make lousy Mums.
    AJ not in that category

That I totally agree with, the more runs they have the worse they are

24 races is not overtaxed for a 5yo mare and her first couple of foals will be to a young mare and that is worth everything in real terms.

    Stupid price for that mare.

    1 WA Gr1

These breeders have to much money.

She is by Siyouni out of a stakes placed mare who is a half to a G2 winner. Amelia's Jewel winner of $4m is one of 2 runners her dam Bumbasina has produced. The other is yesterday's tearaway GC Guineas winner Bosustow who has won over $2m and is only a 3yo.
AJ's colts could bring a fortune at the yearling sales as they would have a stallion's pedigree.
Vegas Showgirl was a multiple SW who started 35 times and was almost 6yo when having her last start. She ran back half of the field at her last 6 starts. Went on to produce 3 SW. Recent G3 winner City Of Lights, G3 winner El Divino and champion Winx.
North Bell dam of Northerly had 34 starts and had her last run 24 days before turning 6. Amelia's Jewel only having 24 starts should be ok.
