Ascot, AJ and Oscar’s Fortune

West Australian Racing
Oscars strikes me as a good bet tomorrow. Still not sure why they’ve gone there with AJ, feels like a coach killer.

One obvious one tomorrow - The Boss Lady

One at odds - Defiant Diorite
+1 -1

Amelia's Jewel was embarrassing. Came out slow and never got warm, never changed gear. Annabel Neasham is going to have to reinvent her to be competitive in Sydney.

A totally wasted campaign. She should be running over 1600m (or maybe a trifle more) and although the trainer has said sprint trips are too short she has run this time over 1100,1200 and 1200.

Wrong rider. Wins coming down the outside not cluttered up in traffic.

Can’t understand why after DLane got off after the Qukua and saying she’s no longer a 1200m horse they sent her to Adelaide. Did S Miller want her to go there to try and snare one last Group1 with her. He must have done a good job of convincing Walsh . Otherwise you would think Walsh said no if he took on board what Laney said

    You'd have to think:
    1. Miller would press for her to run in Goodwood, to get one last run and get on the juice for a week.
    2. Walsh loves the coin. Even if he agrees that shes not 1200m horse, he's gonna have a crack. Prob got the royal treatment from SAJC too.
Hoofnote... I wouldn't be surprised if there's something underlying. AJ is better than that.

    Two thoughs.

Ascot - Been racing solid for 8 months odd straight, I know it has had its ups and downs over thst time but watching a lot of racing yesterday it was the fairest track in the country by a mile.

CJP - some of his riding yesterday was sensational, he has come so far.
