Didn't want to be rude to the bloke and hope he can crack a good one but that is why you could never have that combo odds on in a million dollar race.
In terms of this race though bit of a defence. Aldo was probably the only one on the right horse to make the move but he was happy sitting 1,1. Lewis was probably rightly happy sitting on his back thinking he'd have the last crack at the fave and jnrs drive has to be driven ice cold a d the stable ad been very clear on this-plus it's form.has shown it.
So that only.left the visitor to make the move AND he had nothing to lose, was never going to win the race sitting back there so why not have a crack.
As I said if it was a 20K FFA it would have been completely different but with the prize money on offer and some fresh blood we actually got to see people out there to win rather than waiting till it's their turn

Lavra Joe who is going as good as Mag Storm went early and took Mag Storms position 3 wide and ran last. So I find it hard to understand how people expect Mag Storm to finish any better had he gone at the 900.
Re drive from Cameron Hart I see he commented last night he was actually looking for the breeze and ended up in front. From where I stood he drove in a manner that suggested he was never going to get stuck in the breeze.
As far as non competitive drivers stewards need to crack down on drivers leading handing up particularly at GP.
That will stop a lot of this rubbish racing.

Lately that’s been pretty hard to do.
Cheers Marko
But upon reflection and
Not talking through my wallet but if Aldo got stuck in the breeze he’s a mug as M.S
in FFA Class I don’t believe has gone well breezing often disappointing I think.
As Aldo stayed 1x1 not able to lead not a bad position if he took of at 900 m
would he win probably not Aldo’s still looks like a mug.!
Aldo goes for broke at start & leads ( most people would say I could win that race !)
Aldo does mid race move like winner oh Aldo’s a genius,
Aldo does mid race move can’t get lead and finish’s
mid race he’s a Mug !
Aldo’s not the highest profile driver out there thus criticism for him is always
more pointed .
Is Aldo’s mindset merely a reflection of Driving tactics being instilled subconsciously
from week in week out racing like the good old days of M.V and early days of Melton
Lead & Sprint up last 600 - 400 metres .
That race highlighted the numbness everyone in the industry is feeling unfortunately
due to lack of non competitive racing .
LBH takes on leader in the breeze he’s crucified but all god let the $1.10 pops win
uncontested that’s what the racing modus of operandi believe is the best result in
growing the Industry god help us !
Due to lack of competitive racing!

Good luck to whoever takes over, the horse is a sit and sprinter and that’s why he struggles in the big ones.
He couldn’t have done anything different on Friday night.

It is not the drivers fault if his horse does not have enough speed out of the gate.
If you really want to nit pick ask the driver of the 1 horse what he was doing, why didn’t he take a sit behind Mag Storm at the start. Cost himself a place.
The disappointing aspect was he needed to be aware when the move was coming and go first, your on the odds on pop go test the leader.
99 times out of 100 you sit where he did doing nothing you aren't going g to get a run.
It's simple to say but what would jnr do in that situation?? You have to think on your feet.

IT’s also fair to say based on actual form since entering fast class if MS has to do any work over 2500 mtrs he gets beaten sometimes very badly.
There is absolutely no way he would have finished in first 5 if he went at the bell complete waste of time.
None of us are privy to pre or post race discussions.
I would be very surprised if it was trainers decision to part ways.
He was damned if he did and damned if he didn’t.

In all honesty Aldo deserves a pat on the back for looking after a very good horse.
Let’s just wait and see how Lavra Joe goes next start, if he’s not in the paddock already.
