The west desperately looking for a link when there is none. It’s the reason no one reads it any more

Disgusting someone would share such BS just because The West have posted an article.
The people responsible from the west should be done for defamation I’d be after blood if I was the poor kids family
  • spinkingspinking    4,000 posts
Do you think they will post a correction or an apology?. Or neither
  • hashhash    7,495 posts
Why would they even post an article that is so far from the truth! They deserve to be stood down
  • TheDivaTheDiva    13,248 posts
If you read the article they state there is no link, but the title is gutter

still inexcusable and if no link why mention in the headline “ Body of young track worker discovered in home one day before Kellie Kersley’s arrest”

Being on the same evening of the kids memorial service this is absolute filth to see

I just read this. To report a non suspicious death like this and tie in the racing issues is opportunistic and lazy and yet another unnecessary attack on racing.

Oh but "The West does not suggests the incidents are linked"

But it IS suggestive! This is aimed at the same folk who are up in arms about the previous issues and The Worst Australian is planting the seed. If this isn't suggestive then I give up.

This is typical of reporters on these issues, they are big heroes behind closed doors, but if they had to front up in front of crowds, they are what you call pussy-cat.abd they always add on a little bit more to make a story.

I notice that the article is not written by Jay Rooney, but some non-racing writers. No surprises there. Tippin that Jay would have no part in this kind of cesspit journalism

The article may state the incidents aren’t linked yet the fkn headline does! Body of track work rider discovered in the home before the arrest… the fact both are mentioned in the same headline is not only way off the mark but totally inappropriate

Below are the profiles of both scum reporters responsible and if the admin of this page are approached by the west for me posting these please happily give them my real name and contact details

Hash... you bet we'd be talking about it if there wasnt a bikie involved.250% we'd be talking about it.

What do RWWA have to do with it? the only punishment they can hand out would be if she's a licensed person and she is convicted of something... which she hasnt been yet.... and even then the only thing they could do would be disqualification from holding that license.Re you

Nah apparently had a farrier bashed by bikies

    correct
I wouldnt say correct - id say more like allegedly- just like allegedly a respectable sum  of money in the vicinity of 40k dissappeared from someones safe

But the important  bit - L Harper was out for 10-12-15 years - and for a fair amount of that period - they point blank would not  let him back in

K Kersley is 1000% innocent at this stage - so you have to look before you leap - but alot dont

However hypothetically if these charges stick - and if she is found guilty - then i know what NSW would do - especially Harness ( because there has been plenty of precedents ) she would join the long list -  theyd say - Kellie Kersley you are warned off - warned off all racetracks - thats it licensed or unlicensed they couldnt careless

Nothing to do with the Journo's Hash.

This article is all about the Editor of the The West... The Journo's just get told how to re-write it, how to re-word the article...and the Headline is always set by the Editor...At the very least it's approved by the editor of the paper
  • RodentRodent    7,469 posts
Sadly most news these days is seen as entertainment or propaganda rather than a professional presentation of the facts.

Back in the day, I was told by a reporter mate that they had no say what the Heading of any story they wrote, was always done by the Editors

Wasn't the headline altered from when it was first posted ? I reached out to my contact and the journalist was informed immediately of her error. Yes it did get published but that is what happens every now and again in media, mistakes happen.

Personal attacks on journalists is a dangerous folly. Be careful publishing personal details like some target list.

You may just become real famous for all the wrong reasons.

    You’d know wouldn’t you Damo

Their names were attached to the article and more importantly the headline! which was far from the truth aswell as a kick in the guts to those people mentioned

Call it a personal attack all you want but to bring the name of an innocent dead kid and throw it into the mix with something much more serious and totally irrelevant is the lowest of all lows.
