The time slots for Friday make it hard for drivers....last at Bunbury at 5.13pm, first at GP at 5.28pm.....for someone like Emily, a dash up Forest Highway (and probably hoping that Seven No Trumps (emergency in race 7 at 7.24pm) doesn't get a start. Is this an occupational helath and safety issue, and if as is commonly stated that Sky set the race times according to TV slots, have we lost that much control over our industry that drivers had to do a mad dash up the Highway and barring owning a helicopter, have to exempt themselves from taking engagements in the first 6 races? Something not quite right here.

Make a choice and drive at one meeting or the other? Gives an opportunity to the other drivers who don’t normally get as many drives. Like dean Miller for example.

I dont want to sound like a rubbisher - but Friday day meetings before GP - and they tried this a while back - with Pinjarra having the day meeting

Maybe if  BOTRA asked/requested it - then fair enough

I have noticed that some like Aiden will have drives in say the 1st 5 races at Bunbury - and then head off to GP - makes for a hell of a long day

This is my point about WA Harness Racing having its own CEO - not this shared ( to reduce costs - mind you Burt got 800k- and closed Kalgoorlie  ) RWWA model
