A very "PATIENT" ride by young Campbell  on strike now in the first.
I am probably speaking through my kick though

Same can be said for Carbery’s ride on Rupert’s Empire he showed no interest in trying or getting busy late the little grub

How annoying for the Owners/Trainers at the meeting today to go to Northam to have the meeting cancelled for a barrier malfunction, did they not have a spare set of barriers ? Maybe I am too practical

Leaders back in a 6 horse field gets the world perfect run times his run poorly should’ve been ridden like the best horse in the race but expect nothing less when these weak apprentices are on top sometimes.
And I by weak I don’t mean that in a nasty way fact is they just don’t have the strength or experience in close finishes when it matters

Hey Slip , like the one at Rosehill in the early 80s but that was a flag start..

Yes, the infamous Missile Stakes at WFA. What a farce. A G3 WFA race no less. Won by a bolter on debut! Holmes A Court had Pashenka's Gem in the race.

After watching the replay again he didn’t get held up on the straight momentarily as first thought.

The Carbery comment I still stand by, lacked vigour and looked disinterested in trying to win…. And look at the stable the winner came from too.. just a coincidence I guess
Are you saying he rode Rupert’s Empire and tried as best as he could to reel in the winner?? And don’t try tell me this it was on one rein the whole way up the straight nonsense

well, if you're from the old school of thought that says you just smash the sh*t out of them all the way to the post... then yes, he showed lack of vigour.
To my eye, he was interchanging whip strikes with hands and heels.
He possibly gave up a few strides early... but it was evident to me at that point he wasnt making the ground to win the race.
Again.. for me... nothing to see here.  Horse had its chance once it got out of its pocket.

You called him a grub. Funny that you have a go at other people on different posts for having a go at your mates.

And they’re two complete different scenarios I was jumping in to defend someone before the thread got out of hand and full of rumours and gossip

I made a comment on my opinion of a jockey that I still stand by, if he’s your mate stand up and defend the bloke

There was actually zero gossip. Rodent just asked the question about the drop off in Martins numbers from a racing perspective. You made it about rumour and innuendo that didn’t exist.
