Interesting I'm unsure if Obrien is accountable.or not but they were all disappointing, Showmanship is going as well as ever for the same trainer(and off a long layoff)see how he stacks up this weekend in the group 1 that generally isn't quite.

O’Brien is now 0 from 49 runners this season in Melbourne Metro.  Not sure what to make of that, obviously Showmanship was good in Sydney, Inspirational Girl & Midnight Blue and look on the right path and I think Graceful Girl will run a race this sat in theRupert Clarke…..But those stats are what they are, they were confident Western Empire was winning in the Memsie and they were miles off.  Don’t think Bob would cop those stats from a local trainer

I would have transferred to someone else over there, change is as good as a holiday, nick ryan is good as others have pointed out, i also like simon wilde for someone different. Anyway, on their way back to perth seems a waste of a trip

100%. Can't see them going anywhere else.
Anyone suggesting that G&A will get any of Bobs anytime soon is way off the mark imo. I feel that Bob erred in parting ways with them, but he'll not go back to them.

Bob hates to eat humble pie  think he had a slice  when he went back   to Durrant. IMO another piece would be very beneficial for his  operation if he went back to Grant & Alana, especially  regards  Western Empire.for a quick turnaround. for ahorse they know well  Durrant is great trainer as well.

Bob shifted Lords Ransom around  Durrant---- O'Brien ---Morgan---Durrant --Wilde--Williams..

Leek to train for Peters | RACING.COM

Looks like Danny O'Brien is on the way out....

John Leek very colourful character & very well known to the pork-pie brigade.

Was going to have all three checked from last weekend too..agree with his assessment Graceful Girl may have an issue but he also thought Showmanship had his worst run ever and Midnight Blue was also plain.
Not sure I agree about Showmanship he was poorly placed needed to stay out wider and come down the middle..surely would have at least finished off like I am Superman(who is or was questionable on wet decks).

I think we’re about to see some quality horse flesh make a trainer look better than what he is and put him back on the map (no disrespect)

I don't think he is giving Leek too many, O'Brien will continue too be his main Victorian trainer

What the heck is the pork pie brigade?
This would have to be the leanest spell for the Peters team in many years cant see it turning soon they dont appear to have any upcoming 3yr olds capable of dominating the carnival?

I think he’s found the next star trainer in M Grantham though.  If he can grow his stable to accomodate the number of Peter’s runners as team Williams had I think he can have similar success.
Think he needs to change is Melbourne operation though

Needs a bit of luck. Midnight Blue was a good effort and Inspirational Girl was honest with the on pacers not folding up.

you would have to cast your mind back many years that bob did not have a preceived stranglehood on all races over our carnival...all in the a&gw yard. last year he had a full scoop of the 4 main races. this year he will be lucky to have 1...2 at the max. in our gr 1's.
i wonder if he sometimes thinks..."i wish i had a second chance with grant and alana"

First ----Bob producer's Top class stock the relationship he formed with Alana& Grant year in year out they were able to get the best out of them at Derby&Oaks time then reload for Summer features.
What ever the reason training fees, ---the bust up ? Bob's horses seem to have no direction in W.A now. the new young trainers are just taking them York & Geraldton trying to cement there foot in the door. Sure Bob must be starting to think I reap what i sow.

note the prices of his current racing stock, some in double figures...unheard of. had 1st and 2nd faves in the last yesterday....both bombed.
to say the wheels have fallen off is an understatement.
