Damian Lane has just ridden his 100th winner since he went to Japan a few years ago for 3 month stints.
They highlighted it on a billboard in the centre of the coarse with his photo.
Not bad for a country W.A. boy.

    certainly a very large feather in his cap and they obviuously love him in the land of the rising sun.
    i wonder what he does with those millions of yen they are throwing at him?
    and, i would not mind betting that he does not find himself a beautiful japanese lady.

    Just looking at this year's stats and he has the third best strike rate of all jockeys there.

    His strike rate in Japan has always been impressive.

    The top 2 are simply outstanding. 

    Kawada win ratio = 0.268, Lemaire = 0.216 and Damien's is 0.18. Not too shabby at all, even taking into considering that they are almost invariably riding one of the top 5 chances in any given race..
