JT was going good early but dumped 2 or was it 3 shots and lost his momentum which could be costly, he is good enough to win it and is best placed out of the top tier guys but its close to a lottery there are so many guys at -4 or better.
Cheering for Smith he has to be a chance, the Cinderella story guy(channelling Bill Murray rn)probably flops Imo.
My spec will be some sort of investment before the off tonite on Burns and maybe a lobster on Reed who is 5 back but was on song yesterday arvo.

Yeh he is due I suppose, his putting is a big problem he religiously leaves shots out there.Early on in round 3 he had a poor 3 putt bogey, an eagle putt from close missed by a whisker and the very next hole a very makeable birdie is missed.Could have been 3 under for the round after 3 or 4 holes instead goes even par.
Burns is skinny I see at 8/8.50 that is not much value as he was erratic but scrambled well..sacking that idea lol we know what happens now(leader @ the end of Round 3 I predict as a chance $7)
Smith is a bit better price on Sportsbet @$10 plus i will still have a spec on Reed at the crazy $101 and Henley @$67, both very rough hopes at -4 currently.
Good luck mate.

Smithy off to a flyer 3 under after 3 holes and leads by a shot!
Casey breathing down his neck, shits about to get real.

Shoots 66 with 10 birdies but 4 bogeys, 13 one putts two great clutch efforts for par.JUST 10 putts on the back 9 what an amazing putter.
Absolutely outstanding work even though it got rocky late in the back nine..too tired rn to summarise the dramas lol
A bloody LEGEND you are Smithy :x =D>

Touching scenes, he hadnt seen his parents for 2 and 1/2 years how special is that.
Honorable mention to the unknown Lahiri he hung tough all day and had a birdie chip to tie it up on 18..
Think he will be happy with his $2.18 mill cheque.
@Thunderstruck riding every shot and sweating, you love to see it

The shot on 17 was stunning albeit jaggy and then his chip out of trouble on 18 that went in the water(after another rough tee shot)I couldn't believe it, he did so well to only bogey. The mentally strong Lahiri then birdies 17(what a clutch putt)and it's 1 the diff.Great watching so happy for Smithy and hats off to Lahiri he did not falter at all.
As Paul Casey said later the best man won today.
Cam putted like a legend, was great with the irons short or long yet drove at times like a b grader lol.
I am liking this join in at the Round 3 point and betting the last couple of weeks!
Now compare this to Tiger
Tiger is 44 out of 46 when leading at the 54 hole mark (96%)
He is also 25/25 when leading by at least 3 shots after 54 holes
This week, of the last 28 X 54 hole leaders at the PGA championship, Lahiri is only the second man in history to shoot in the 60s on his final round. The average is over 74 shots.
Compare then to Berger a few weeks back. He held a 5 shot lead after 54 holes and the record was 16/17 went on to win after leading by 5+ shots.

Gary Woodland @$51.
Was right amongst it when Scheffler won 10 days ago, arguably could have won but for bombing out on 17 with a double bogey, he then missed the cut at the Players may have got the wrong rub of the conditions though not sure on that.
Bonus is he will be fresher than the top guys and whilst not a top 20 golfer I think he may give a sight?

Meanwhile Burns leads by 2 at -18 and barring a choke he wins it looks likely.
Riley dumped with a triple at 5 but has clawed 1 shot back so is half a chance but Burns is looking good atm.
My tournament netted a zero. Non of my 3 were ever in the hunt for outright and unfortunately Kizzire and Kisner could score low enough on the last day to keep the Top 20 alive. Back to the drawing board.
The drawing board contains two tournaments this week, one starting Wednesday and the other starting Thursday. Wednesday is the start of the WGC Dell Matchplay, which you either love or hate. Last year won by Horshal. Also we have the Corales Puntacana Championship in the Dominican Republic, won last year by Joel Damen, who was last seen green side with beer in hand congratulating Sam Burns winning Valspar.
Fields and brackets for the match play out soon.

Norris steadied on the back 9 while the others fell away to win the Steyn Championship. My blokes were on contention bit couldn't get any closer than 2 shots from the leader at any stage.
No collects on the outrights with Langasque, Bekker, Lawrence all saluting top 20, while Fisher missed the cut and Armitage finished well back out of top 20.
7.6 units returned is a loss of 7.4 units on the tournament
This week 30 out for 7.6 returned = -22.4
Nett position -63.2 units :(|)
