I Believe the inevitable has happened and the Carona has hit the racing community, with several posative cases. I Wont name names, but time will tell if im correct

    In the goldfields as well.Four basketballers . Its in  the communties Jameson 1000km east of Kalg.. Hoping  Hospitalisation cases are minor because huge portion of the state is totally reliant on R.F.D.S.some of these towns nearly three hours flight time.

    You will be correct Shothru. Regardless of whether it’s now next week or next month.Ascot like every other community will not be safe from contacting covid. More so if stable employees trainers etc. don’t know they have I. And possibly more serious do know they have it and don’t quarantine due to needing the income.Ascot trackwork provides the scenario covid relies on to spread it ugly little tentacles

    it will be interesting to see how mcgowan reacts, probably dramatically.
    you cannot believe the eastern states racing communities have not had covid infections. it does not seem to have had any effect on their day to day activities.
    we await his decision with trepidation.

    2 years of having your life compromised, restricted from family gatherings, weddings and birthdays.  When the virus risk to yourself is less than negligible.  I think the push to get back to normal is justified.

    What if it’s like this for ever with ongoing mutations?  Do you suggest the restrictions we are living with in WA to go on indefinitely?

    2yrs of policy to keep it out, now many years of managing it in our communities.

    With the high vaccine uptake we have as good a chance as any community world wide, to reduce its impact. Now its here, i'd be hoping the handbrake is slowly released to have as little impact as possible over whatever period is thought to be best.

    If its here for a long time - maybe ever - so whatever we do from here on in, is setting the new norm. Something that we all need to accept and get on with dealing with as we move forward.

    Yeah...on an island continent...the perfect defensive geographical unit to manage a global pandemic. Still plenty of c*&k heads happy to turn a blind eye to the incompetence surrounding the governmental responses particularly re quarantine federally & in the Rum Corps. Crushing overreaction...you must be joking...the poor buggers who died as "inevitable collateral damage" to governmental     sloth & inaction has been a national disgrace. All hail the Qantas leprechaun...he is running the response with his international disease pods.

    Yeah, I'd buy that if you could point me to all the other islands that are COVID free. Besides, if you could spend your way to elimination of COVID, it would be a day to day proposition. Not hard for an unfriendly foreign power to introduce it at any time. Only the deluded ever thought it could be kept out indefinitely.
    Some people are innocent victims. Some accepted the risk and were unlucky but everyone lost their freedom.
    It should never have been either/or. You can protect the vulnerable whilst not trampling our hard won freedoms

    Trampling our hard won freedoms ??? If we have had Gallipoli 2 in WA I must have missed it. Fortunately the religio maniacal loons haven't had the reins here.
