  • I was under the impression the weights need to be raised 1.5 to ensure a minimum topweight of 57 applies, this year that is now Incentivise ???

Delphi then rises to 54 ?
    Not anymore Thunder, rules changed.

The only question I'd ask is why didn't Twilight Payment get the Champion Stayer award for the 2020/21 season? He is clearly a better stayer then Verry Elleegant

You mean because he is off Zaaki? not surprised Jmac always wanted to be on for the CP assume that's why the change, plus Annabel and connections too would be keen for the change after last weekend.

I have a theory he may actually race better clockwise, the first up win was more impressive than either of the next two runs going the mexican way.

Hmmm to bite or not to bite lol she won 3 group 1's at 2000m+ so that would be why...he won well but it was one race and Mcneil caught them out on pace, it was a very good win no doubt.

I hope she runs again this year because let's say Jmac rides her he wont be 25 lengths off TP in the run and steaming home with no hope of catching the leaders like Zahra. She WILL beat him home if they clash again *unless the track is concrete....

Just on Annabel, Since last discussed up from 110 to 137 horses under her care .
She like a few others starting to play the numbers game,
Hopefully Zaaki doesn't become one of them.

Yeh i saw that figure today also, that would be a shame.Did come from the Maher/Eustace juggernaut so it may be ingrained in her to some extent..

Back in trip and back in the winners circle the Rhino!!..fair to say the small Browne team are kicking home some winners from their stable.

Deja Vu, Rhinoceros leads and wins again!

The Maher/Eustace stable's "gun" 1.60 pop get's rolled R2, same stable then wins the next two distance races with $13 and $16 pops and fn quinella both races with their much shorter market favoured runner finishing second in both!! LOL ..........couldn't script this schitt fair dinkum.

Linda Meech bobs up and ride some winners for a part timer bloody hell she can steer them no doubt.

    i've had a rare e. state bet..Heresy inthe 000 guineas.
  • ThunderstruckThunderstruck    7,696 posts
Bit of a raffle the guineas how goulburn maiden winners get a start is beyond me..no bet for me something rough-ish will win it maybe.
  • ThunderstruckThunderstruck    7,696 posts
And a raffle result is the outcome. No surprise to see Lane get planted and his mount became Unhinged....

Ollie had already won his guineas put his feet up today Falc..
Prebble outrode him earlier too in r3 and in the post race interview said words to the effect of "the opportunity to box in the GOAT was too good an opportunity to refuse, aye old boy" the cocky prick! but riding well enough to throw some banter around(wonder if their mates?)no doubt. *i was on Alcyone the horse he snookered lol

Only bet today and was hard to swallow. Reckon Teo may have done a “willow” and out smarted himself. Maybe he was trying to win softly as he would have been backing up 3 days later ?

Yeh not good Det, Maher was circumspect later but also suggested Nugent needed to get rolling earlier rather than sit and sprint.. big thumbs down alright was kicking late like he wanted further too(sighs)

Have to look at the draw and field a few favoured runners have got visitors draws lol PLUS this may be the week the weather rolls in and forks the track or at least soaks the hell out of it.
Advantage Young Werther at first glance depending on the track(though i like it for the MC)and The Chosen One.

Confirmed that Sydney jockeys will be travelling to Melbourne for the Co Plate (and presumably Flemington carnival).

Jmac to ride Zaaki, Bowman on Mo'unga and Boss on Sir Dragonet.

I listened to Dwayne Dunn on TabRadio this morning on catch up and he gives a great insight, they should get him on more often. One particular thing he said was when Zaaki got beat on the weekend his work leading up to the race was "horrible' and that looks to have translated to race day. I dont have my ear to the groung low enough for the ES races but this info would have been valuable

I have virtually zero interest in the Everest, think it could be run on a bog track.
Would love to see Masked Crusader win it don't know if he can, has won on Soft and placed on the heavy am not sure he loves it though, plus i think he will get too far back.

it looks like both tracks are going to be quagmires tomorrow and bear in mind the cup is race #9.

This is one reason i don't mind Master of Wet i mean Wine Falc..have already had some $$$ on at 36s, track could get into the heavy range at Caulfield their guesstimating, your right it might be a slog late in the day.
