Unlucky for those involved if the rumour is true
Thoughts are with fellow Blackhearts team today on the loss of Incheon Express
Apparently lives were lost last night in the accident?
    Horrible news

The horse transporting 15 horses was involved in an accident in the Goldfields, one driver was killed not the transport driver though and 3 horses of the 15 were also killed

A number of the horses were Bobs. Tragic

5 of bobs weanlings were killed and 3 badly injured. Bob is having a terrible run this last 12 months. Apparently The Ramsay’s driver was able to free some horses while the truck went up in flames. Must have been carnage

    That is absolutely horrible.

    From the West

Peters said his family's five deceased weanlings included progeny of Ascot winners Real Charm and True Image and a half relation to Ascot and Belmont Park winner Festival Miss.

In addition there are 3 who are being cared for by Peter Fernie, They were singed by the fire and one of them a relation to Midnight Special has knee and leg injuries

it would be soul destroying for all those concerned. my heart goes out to them. awful death for the horses and trauma for the survivors.

Complete tragedy for all involved. Got to spare a thought for the float driver after the shock of the initial impact, can only imagine the traumatic scenario he had to witness and involve himself in. Without making light of it I don't think anyone would have been more happy than him to see Peter Fernie pulling up in his truck to lend a hand.. hopefully for his sake those images he witnessed won't stay with him for a long time. Condolences to all concerned

back from a trip to kal. with my cousins who are kin to the fernies.
more to this than meets the eye...

btw, what going on with the black heart syndication?

My guess would be with zero insight, they are struggling to get enough takers to even cover the initial costs and it’s going to fall through before they even get a single runner.  Hope I’m wrong but it’s gone so quiet I think this is on the catds

Didn’t they purchase their first tried horse which unfortunately died in the accident Falcon talks about above. Hopefully for them it was insured

If it wasn’t insured someone has some answering to do to the shareholders.
Being a public syndication insurance would be mandatory one would think.

Why would it be mandatory?? Syndication has no set rules. It is like a Franchise...you make it up to suit the syndicator.

I doubt that type of horse would have insurance if it was privately owned. But anyone who has bought into the syndicate would know for sure.

The PDS stated horses would not normally be insured and there would be a special levy if any of them were.

it makes you wonder why hey Falc!?!?!? A site full of punters who analyze everything they do, and you advertise a dodgy sounding ownership scheme... Would be better off advertising in newsagents alongside the lotto stand...

Punters can do the maths. There was a surplus of over $140k a month from the $20 monthly charge, people know a rort when they see one
