    Or...play on.

Blues roll the dockers, half a chance, and Lyon is looking for a new job. Rumour mill has it Bradley Hill wants out. Either bad influences starting to gather round or there has been a blowup.

Typical dockers supporters response! No one expected anything from Brisbane, Carlton and the Gold Coast.

You've recruited better then West Coast last year yet Ross brings them all down to his level. I suppose that just speaks volumes of the different coaches.

With him at the helm you'll NEVER win a flag and personally I love it!

I wouldn't regard myself as a typical Dockers supporter Kane as most of my friends and associates who are Dockers supporters want Ross gone as well. I am prepared to hold out one more year to see how the young players come along.

On sunday freo will play their 8th debutant for the year which is exactly what they should be doing, getting games into the kids. They are about where they were expected to be on the ladder. The eagles have obviously exceeded expectations but based on what i've seen as long as adam simpson is coach they will NEVER win a final of any kind at the MCG.
  • Kane_26Kane_26    88 posts
West Coast have debuted 8 kids already this year and sit 2nd, Fremantle are only just about to blood their 8th debutant and they sit 13th with a lower percentage then the 16th placed Brisbane. Either that's a coaching/game plan problem or a recruitment issue and with the likes of Wilson and Matera being picked up last season I'm pretty sure it's not a recruitment issue.

Agree Kane and with them now having  a training facility that is exactly the same dimensions as the MCG i'm pretty sure there record on it is as good this year as any year they have played.... Maybe @PAUL  has the stats on that?

West Coast game style is suited to the MCG
    In my opinion !

Spread, control, drive and then straighten up.....Is the perfect plan with a big body at Full forward (kenedy) and Darling running from side to side, giving JK the space...then Rioli. Ryan and Crisp as ard running (ryan not proven yet) running to the feet of those guys, is a good game plan for the MCG....Shame Waterman couldn't hold his form as a good sized second mobile forward (Darling x 2) is the cream for playing at the MCG..

Without JK and Waterman then the way to the goals gets harder at the MCG..Yeo is the obvious replacement fr Waterman, but with Schofield and Gaff out, i think he will be used in the mids or defence for a while.....Maybe a role for AChoo, but i dont think he has the tank to run up and down all day like Darling does, and Waterman did for half a season.

It'd be great to make and take the GF Cup, but with blooding 8 new players and getting 2 or 3 finals games into them, so they get a taste for September Footy, it will be good for many years to come....And should also help in the trades this year. A 23yr old forward with 20-30 games under his belt woudl be a nice back up...maybe Richmond or Melbourne have a spare one hanging around not getting a game!?!?!

As requested @RIO, in only four seasons (if you include this season) have the Eagles been undefeated at the MCG, two of those being premiership years (1992 & 2006).

    WCE RECORD AT MCG
    2018 2-0* - CAR (W), COL (W)
    2017 0-2 - RIC (L), HAW (L)
    2016 1-2 - HAW (L), CAR (W), COL (L)
    2015 1-1 - RIC (W), HAW (L)
    2014 1-1 - MEL (W), COL (L)
    2013 1-1 - MEL (W), COL (L)
    2012 0-3 - COL (2xL), HAW (L)
    2011 0-3 - COL (2xL), GEE (L)
    2010 1-1 - MEL (W), RIC (L)
    2009 0-1 - MEL (L)
    2008 0-3 - COL (L), HAW (L), MEL (L)
    2007 1-0 - RIC (W)
    2006 3-0 - HAW (W), RIC (W), SYD (W)
    Also
    1992 5-0 - RIC (W), NM (W), ESS (W), GEE (2xW)

10minutes into a game a few weeks back i said that Jettta had played the best game for the Eagles since he arrived. 10 minutes into this game and i think he has turned over the ball 4 times and once again has forgotten that he has to do a bit better than jog when he doesn't have possession.

Although the whole team is playing crap....he just stands out...Oh you bewdy, someone has smacked the 4

There you go - for all the Jack Riewoldt haters......
He had a year to go in his contract.
Went to the club and asked them to tear it up, and draw up a new one for less money !
And again - he instigated it.

Jack definitely had a "day out" today against the Suns, kicking 10.6, taking 14 marks and racking up 192 Fantasy points (2nd highest of the season after Tom Mitchell's 195 in R15).
