agree. i'm not a fan of the new colours. changing colours is supposed to be bad luck too isn't it?

It's a field of crap tomorrow so it should win but owner didn't run over china man but did upset one so same same so i tink it might be one of those 3y olds that don't come back.

Stramos to win, Battle Emblem for second and then maybe Yuro. Just needs a bit more distance and maybe this run.

one more run yuro for me.....but there was strong support for it in the ring in the 1000m race last start, so it must be doing good things on the track to justify that. Leading on from that, if they (dont know who they are) fancied it last start, surely they'll have another crack at the 1400m?

Yuro to come home stongly into 2nd behind Guilded Venom.1400m is long enough to get into the race 1000m too short last time

I would have liked to see him do more first up. This field isn't as strong, and the scratchings will help, but I agree one more run to get him closer to his top.

For some reason in the small field I like Star Risca from Stramos, with Yuro third and Dajraan fourth.

Having said that, you should all box Battle Emblem, Basto Man and Baron Orczy :D

He will struggle to win Kal Cup let alone Melbourne cup ,need to attack the line better than he did today

Look for big improvement next start Bobby T looks like he has taken over from managing owner/foreman so things might be back on track.

what amazes me is that there was plenty of money for it at 1,000 and 1400...only have to look how awfully it went last time fresh to check such thoughts

never rated it myself, wont win the kal cup though because the huckster is going to

I had a sneaky on The Huckster, but in (that wonderful thing) hindsight his failure told me two things -
    1) A slow pace in Kal is diabolical, a slow pace is perth is just slow. Big difference.
    2) The form was suss, Ellenbrook sat 3w the trip and ran second. Enuf said.

based on belmont run,the comment was/is in jest to a degree..see how he goes next run in kal,if he doesnt win another race....err i'll be a mile in front still after consecutive wins,so im giving him one more chance back at home...sorry have got off the yuro topic, but dont know if Kal would suit that horse Smiddy(plus i know u think yuro is special, not that sure myself  )

are they running him? would doubt he would be ready for that dist. in 2 weeks time??
  • Heard that the connections of Yuro have bought a property in Mandogalup (spelling ?), will be a real state of the art set up, Private Trainer will have facilities never seen before in WA. The Kettle family who previously owned the place were made a offer too good to refuse. So Ma and Pa are looking for another place.

I really hope they don't over race this horse. Would be a smart proposition to send it to those easy 2000m races over the ascot summer where there are only 6 starters. Money for jam for such a versatile horse ;0)

Hey winter don't write Yuro off just yet Bobby T has taken over the training again from manager/part owner so he will finally be fit and will jump out of the ground next start.
  • legs_11legs_11    136 posts

I agree legs the yellow and pink are a lot nicer than those new red colours.Maybe manager/part owner can come up with some new colours in his spare time now Bobby T is training the horse again.

Don't know what you mean steely..i've been told that what the manager knows about training horses you could write on a postage stamp..Bobby T has the horse looking great so i'm told...but those that know dont say and those that say dont know..try and work that out...P B will help you if you cant
