    The knock Variation into the FF for a lazy 10k mate? Lol wish i had of put one on i would have had my knocks in there somewhere...f it!

    Last week after the final race looked at the prices and the 16th horse in betting was Great Shot...so if that field ran ( most of them did ) then Great Shot was the rank outsider...it was that sort of race this year 16 horses and 16 chances.

    Well done Great Shot & Craig Staples...both worthy winners. Trainer - even better.

    I got told this tonight by a reliable source...you old bugger.. I was happy to get $27on the tote to be honest as I ended up having it as my one out bet

    i would have had it in for 4th if I took one... would have been a decent collect! oh well, happy with the $33 the winner!

    No not me about the barriers Silky...but that's interesting...what have a noticed is a little trend in Australian racing..horses going forward in running and being on speed near the fence or one off...not a bad place to be at all.

    Horses coming from well back in the field have to be exceptional or there has to be a ton of speed on up front.

    That takes nothing away from horses like Great Shot and Boom Time ( great ride ) they both made their own luck.

    Barriers too becoming more crucial than ever...first four home in the Melbourne Cup drew 2,3,4,5.
    Boom Time drew in. Placegetters Tom Melbourne, Black Heart Bart and Variation all drew close to the fence. Great Shot he just went forward and did his normal thing.
