Really upset for Falcon watching that race at Sandown. Once again the dog began slowly which is really hurting its chances, but all it needed was a little bit of luck on the first turn and it bolts in. It's missed second by a head and cost the boys a run in the final.

But you have got a really good one there and once he matures and mends his manners he could be anything.

Yeah unlucky falc. Huge run by him, after getting battered just when he was about to make his run.
  • thefalconthefalcon    20,471 posts

thanks guys...yep, very unlucky..runs 2nd in a few more hops.

he is only a very young dog..not 2 until 17th july so fingers crossed he remains sound.

Just watched the replay and was very sad to see he found all that trouble and missed 2nd by just a head :( Absolutely should have won...
Not the end of the world Falc but commiserations mate that hurts no doubt.

*if there's any justice and or the karma gods wave their wand one of the two dogs he should have beaten already gets scratched...

Falc are there any consolation type races worth good money he can contest while he's over there, back in grade from the heats you'd think he smash an opposition

    no hash, that's it....

another blow, we are #10...needs 2 scratchings....

I believe he jumped a lot better but the 8 box didn't help him.
He will win plenty of races and good ones.

Falcon I had a dog that was blistering from the boxes and she would jump lead and be four in front coming to the corner and win by a head on the line.
Everytime she jumped I knew she'd lead and it was up to her to be run down but she was always out of trouble. She won a few races and I sold her to ViC and she never won another race.
Your dog is slower away and needs luck but if he gets it he will win 9 out of ten races everytime but he's got to get those few breaks but I'm sure it's nothing you havnt already been told but I'm sure he's coming back to WA against another class of dog and if he's improved with the experiance you'll be collecting cheques.

Yep G luck @Falc..yes i think the 7 looks your main danger having won 5 in a row at Cannington and looks pretty bombproof out of the boxes..but its not as quick as paddy can run without interference.

I had something on Paddy, Max Profit led as expected and I thought Paddy would get a nice trail behind him and run him down but Bolt Keeping kept trying to push wide, which cost him. At least he got second and into the final :-bd

Unlucky again falc, took EW 3's the place so no complaints but the time was unreal.

27.08 is just ridiculous, equal track record if there's no adjustment.

Be interested to see Paddy's time only a couple of lengths behind.

    thanks jell...could not believe 4.10 a place ....

when he matures and as Linda says "the penny drops" he could be anything.

breeding is where the big $'s are.....14 mateings a month @ say 2k .....go figure.

Falcon the breeding game is super super tough SUPER tough.
Breeding numbers are down to 33% and stud dogs are suffering.
Zambora Brockie has just retired and he's had 1 bitch 1.
Pick up the prize money every bit you can.

Its so hard to comment Falcon.
He's a dog with great ability who needs luck but if the penny drops he could take that next step and win most of his races but he still looks like a pup in his races. Once he learns to puts his head down and runs hard to the line he will show everyone what he's got and we know he's got it.

I'll tell you this, he's faster then Astrozone.

yes, we have to remember he does not turn 2 until 17th july...
