    Hey porty, can we have a spreadsheet that incorporates the late tips as well. For me it would be a truer indication of who is getting the winners and placegetters. I think Brady and rooboy would also appreciate it

    I really enjoy the comp, hope 2017 is more profitable (and disciplined :)))

    It is not a true indication for the competition to be putting selections up so late as there are advantages and disadvantages.

    If you took the value of some selections on Friday night you would sometimes get $2.00+ better than what is offered on Saturday morning or around 11 am.  
    That is why the competition is not done on Top fluctuation.  Though as an analyst this is already known and the whole essence of this competition is to know the ability of being able to have a profitable season and be able to select by Friday night.  (If you were getting your selections being posted in the print media the selection would be required by 11am Friday).  That is not what the competition is about.  

    The selections can be used in many ways and the statistics show how analysts perform.

    Self analysis is tough.  Statistics on your own performance certainly give you perspective but if you really want to look at your efforts on the season just look at your investment performance.

    I will work on the equations and statistics and get back to you on this but it will not be incorporated into the competition.

    True Portside,but,a true analyst would wait till you know the track conditions,wind,scratchings and more time as tipsters on radio,newspaper and so on have to do theirs by Thursday which i find false tipping!
    Love the comp mate but like so many others (and i think more would join) if you gave a cut of time of say 10am Sat morning to give us hard workers to go thru the form a bit more thoroughly.
    I love waking up early on a Saturday and get my betting strategy done for the day!

    Pinjarra is the track for the Analysts to consider.

    @rooboy  would be great to learn more about your strategy.  

    As for 10am on Saturday that means that I wouldn't collate or even look at the selections for the competition as by that time the Eastern State racing is on and during the NBA season that starts at 7:00 and goes through till 1 pm.  

    The value is the selection on Friday night will be better odds than at SP.  The more winners that are provided and it is difficult as there are only the 8 races and currently 17 members are participating which can mean multiple selections on either a horse on in the same race.  The benefits of this is for looking at Trifectas and members are yet to hit one of these.


    Race 8 - 8 Pinzu
    Opened at $4.00 and was already into $3.00 at 8:00 pm WA time.  With all conditions going to analysis should be $2.50

    There is plenty of enjoyment with winning and it is fun to enjoy the competitive nature of the competition and certainly looking forward to the results today with it being at Pinjarra.  

    Continuing to work on more statistics to provide for working on improving the results for analysts for the year as expect to see improvements and that there are 4 winners every week from analysts and when that happens it will profitable with analysts enjoying the returns from the competition.
