now i think about it, perhaps the weagles could trade Gaff and Brown for Ballyntyne and Pavlich..that'd be a fair swap i reckon

Hutchs job was to play on Sam Mitchell. At the end of the nite Hutch had 10 possessions and Mitchell had 22. So what was hHutchs job last nite?
  • RIORIO    14,902 posts
Why cant you answer questions??? i answer all yours. Hutchs job was to tag Mitchell, What either stats were are not relevant. You stated that no-one tags players anymore..And that is what Hutch did last night....

Its no fun if only one of us is answering questions...learn how to play a bit better please...niggling statements are only what trolls do, and if your on here you cant be a troll(they get kicked off), so start answering questions or i wont play anymore.

As stated i didn't think thy had a win in left in them 2 weeks ago..Hope they are spending more time on looking for a ruckman than being serious about negotiating with Ballantyne!!!

I had lunch with an AFL warrior and he told me that the deal was done, on the condition that the Eagles also took Barlow, Mayne, Dawson, Pearce, Clark and Silvagni!!!!

So if I read correctly - Boomer has been booted by North ?

"The club has advised Brent Harvey, Drew Petrie, Nick Dal Santo and Michael Firrito that 2016 would be their last season at Arden Street."
  • jumjum    3,582 posts

    Yep Sacked Him

Averages 22 possies a game this year with 1 and a half goals and 5 marks.

Coming off 32 touches and 3 goals in a near on best on ground performance against the premiership favourites.

I agree on the other 3, but WTF are they doing with Waite who is 34 next year.

This is absolutely staggering. He is a better option than the head ducking Thomas. Boomer coild probably go for another 2 years going of his performances this year. He will finish top 5 in there F and B for Farkk Sake

    :-O

I'm with you Jum, he is still winning possessions and has given his heart and soul to the club...and vice versa. But why get rid of him? is he stopping a younger guy coming through??? well make the younger guy play better first and earn the spot!!!

He'd be on the veterans list and would probably play for $100k, just to keep going. Not the best for a veteran of the game and club. If he was averaging 15 possessions and a goal a match. Yep the writing is on the wall, but his stats are fine for a small forward. They may not be by the end of next year, but you'd only be putting him on a 1 year contract anyway!?!?!?

Maybe the effective possessions of his opponent had more to do with it than his possession? A stat that the general public very rarely gets access to.

    ;)

Strange too Jordan 2 weeks out from Finals, the moral in the place would be craphouse, must presume they are going out 1st week of finals (well I think that too, but gee strange time to be announcing this)
  • TiversTivers    7,720 posts

What a joke. Thanks for all your hard work fellas. Dont let the door hit you on the way out! Collectively about a million games experience between them, and they arent playing the worst footy. Boomer is flying, he must be gutted.

Im not a North supporter but this is BS @-)

It's cruel, but he's actually right.
Keep them all and fall in a big hole when they all retire, without having blooded replacements - and you'd be at the front of the queue baying for blood.

Jarrod Waite is 34 next year and they have kept him, he is injury prone and struggles in a rebuilding side which was proven at Carlton.

Brent Harvey deserves more than Waite

Agree they could not keep them all but in my opinion Waite should have gone instead of Harvey.

He is probably right Tivers but you don't treat a North legend actually an AFL legend like that he should have been allowed to call it on his terms the service he's given them !

that's it....only have to look at Pav and the Dorkers....They are doing it right, showing the respect that a legend of the club/AFL deserves

Hey Rio. Rumour has it that the Eagles are doing a direct swap. Gaff to North Melbourne and Boomer to the Eagles. That should help with NicNat missing next year.
  • RIORIO    14,902 posts
makes it easier Tivers...think they will need to get used to that for a year or two as well.
