Safe to say the barrier expiriment has contributed nothing to increasing field sizes.

But has anyone noticed the trend of 7 race meetings sneaking in?

That would be sure to skew your results, putting on one less race per midweek will help the average for sure. So how will RWWA be able to tell whether the barrier experiment has worked or whether it was the less races to compete in that increased field sizes (if they have increased at all).

Noticed my RWWA bill has tripled in size... :(

And now substantially out of pocket on logistics for Kal tomorrow on top.

How about replacing midweek no metro win $22,500 races upcoming with $15,000 maidens for some upcoming midweek metro meetings, on top of the reduction to 7 race cards.

Well you won't have to worry about Kal. Tivers! They had whole 7.8 mil of rain 2 days ago, and still can't race. Go Figure!!!!

Hey @Tivers did you scratch any after final acceptances at Kal??? if you did and they charge you the late scratching fee, how about you send them a bill for their scratching of the meeting..

    Sounds fair to me

So.................... Got a horse in Gero - has been nominated for every meeting to date - yet to get a start.
Considered relocating to Albany (Barker), but fields are just as chockers there.
Tipping him out now, so 5 months of costs for nothing.

And I hear they've added a 2yo race to Ascot Wednesday after have the horses nominated missed a run Saturday.

Hardly lacking size at this point in time.

8 on Saturday, and only one with a single figure (9) number of acceptors.

Certainly a good upturn in what i thought (and you probably too Tivers) would be a small year for 2year olds specifically.

It is a funny trend at this particular moment. It appears like we have had a few less meetings, but i checked today with RWWA and the numbers of meetings are similar for this season and the number of races is only marginally smaller. I also had to tip a horse out recently as it couldn't get a start after 3 noms. Very expensive. Will start again in the hope that the early Jan lag happens as per normal and after 8 months of prepping i get a chance to only lose $10k, instead of 20k!!!!!! Or it may just be retired as it is a lot of money to chase a potential maiden win!!!!!

Good for the RWWA, not so good for some owners
