Has Adam Durrant cancelled his break away from racing?

I see he is listed as the trainer of a couple of today's runners.

No name change until august 1st. Then be Jason MILLER

this has me stumped..if he's not there then he's not training...miller is. why not acknowledge miller as the bona fide trainer.

you read occasionally that a trainer has been fined for slipping a horse to another trainer for some education...eg a bit of dressage.

ok, the horses have not changed location BUT.......MILLER is the trainer.

does that mean if I transferred a horse from say, Smith to Morton, Smith would remain the trainer in race form guides until 1st august? same scenario.

would not happen anywhere else except WA.

He is on holidays. Then back and in Broome for two months training a team of horses. Then of around the world.

scenario: a "durrant" trained horse returns a positive after Adam has "gone".

who cops the suspension...Durrant or Miller? bearing in mind Durrant is still the nominated trainer..

    :-??

In WA it is always the Foreman, so whether the trainer is here or not makes no differenc

It's a joke that a trainer can not be near his stables and horses are allowed to start in his absence but the precedence was set a couple of years ago.
Tony Noonan from Melbourne had horses trained here and he visited Perth a few times a year.
There's rules for some and rules for others, but we know that, right.
    Where's the integrity?

"visiting" is vastly different from being absent indefinately.
trainers, especially over east are routinely absent at carnivals etc.

So your ok with a Melbourne trainer setting up stables here and coming to Perth 3 times a year for a couple of days at a time.

That can only mean your gripe is with Durrant and not with the system.

The tall poppy syndrome its called

Yep, not sure what the issue is or why a problem. The name change stated above happens in the new racing season, when he is away indefinitely. For now the guy is just on holidays? Jase would be getting his fair share no problems

Back to the issue of who is 'ultimately' responsible for ensuring the horses aren't administered prohibited substances....whether voluntarily or involuntarily....
From an unbiased viewpoint, this should not be allowed to happen and is yet another inconsistency in the stewardship of racing in this state.
The trainer is ultimately responsible. If his name is in the book, he should get rubbed out if their is a positive. Just as Williams 'should'  have been rubbed out.
