Hi,

Not the type of thing to say about a person that is
suffering. If one can’t say anything nice about a person in need of help it is
best not to say anything.
For your information, Pete hasn’t had a drink of alcohol
for at least 2 months.

this is a disturbing thread...if wiz is an oz citizen, all he has to do is get himself home. but, sadly by the look of him he has left it too late.
surely, family and friends could scrape together the meagre airfare to oz.
Donate or don't donate, but can i suggest leaving the peanut commentary to one side. I don't know you personally Wiz, but i wish you all the best in your health and getting home.

This is Wizard's wife again.
It made me cry when I read some of these comments wondering why do people want to talk bad about Pete when he is fighting for his life. If you want I can show you the hospital report on Pete.
The last time Pete bet on the races he still had hope he would keep his house and he used the last bit on money in his betting account to have one last try at winning enough to get him back to Australia. If you look for his last bets you will see that he said this is probably my last bets and that he told you the story behind his loses.
He used to go to the bar near us about 4-5 times a week but never made friends as he was only there for about 1 hour.
Pete had 2 friends. One recently died of kidney cancer and the other lost everything to his cheating wife. Pete does not have any other real friends here. He kept to himself most of the time and concentrated on the business we had and his microbe research. Pete lost contact with all his family many years ago after the death of his parents so has no one to call on for help. I also have lost my parents and my brothers and sisters don’t have any spare money to help.
We are not asking for much. Any amount will help so please open your heart and give a little bit.
For the 9th time in a row.
He hasnt won for 549 days.

It's natural to have a healthy scepticism for much of what you read on the Internet.
However if you are financially burdened and genuinely unwell, then naturally I absolutely wish you all of the best and hope that things turn out for the better.
