Absolutely no doubt at all that 90% of tipsters and punters alike will be aboard the Kia Ora Koutou bandwagon but I just think first-up over a mile he's a tad vulnerable. If anyone's going to beat him this preparation then it'll be first-up. He is clearly set for the Derby over 2400m which will be a lot more to his liking than this assignment. Other upcoming prelude races specifically the Listed J.C Roberts over 1800m and Listed Melvista over 2200m look his for the taking. The Cobbla is a model of consistency and should get the softest of runs right up on the pace. On paper would expect him to have atleast a 2 length plus head start on Kia Ora Koutou and might be able to prove too sharp at a mile. Who Dat Singa falls into the same category and fought on well in the Challenge Stakes after doing a mountain of early work. Should find the fence and lead with ease this time and be mighty hard to run down. If this turns into a patented WA Rack and Stack, sit - sprint affair then Kia Ora Koutou will be pretty hard ridden a long way from home.
4. THE COBBLA - 3. WHO DAT SINGA (NZ) - 1. KIA ORA KOUTOU
