Biggest fluke win in WA?

West Australian Racing
I nominate Kelliewood who could only finish in the top 5 of a race on 1 occasion in 9 attempts. That 1 occasion was a victory in a Listed Race, the Natasha Trophy. It went into the race having never finished closer than 5.25L and that was in a maiden at Pinjarra. It paid $146.90 in a 15 horse field.
It beat Royal Drive into 3rd place who went on to win the Oaks before running 2nd to Plastered in the Derby. Belle Bizarre ran last.
Can anyone come up with a better one?
+1 -1

I like these type of threads...I'll put my mind to it over the next couple of days....Currently thinking that any race Prentice won ...Seriously, there have been a few absolute travesties at the Trots over the years... in major races ....will do a bit of thinking

I had $25 ew on Kelliewood that day. Probably one of my best punting stories and what a ride by Ike! Unfortunately I bet it with cash on course instead of taking best tote with the corps. pretty sure it was $200+ on NSW tote

they backed it from $101 that day too. They started peppering it early on betfair so you knew it was "on" that day.

A mate of mine was very keen on Eight till late for the Champion fillies at 200-1, and duly collected a mountain of money. I got the quad that day because of that tip.

Also Mr Moet at 250-1 early railway prices was absolutely a joke

Might Talent Show get a guernsey here??? Just asking.

But I have 3 rippers for this thread, wishing absolutely no offense to horse or connection and thoroughly good luck to them.

Hands up if you have heard of Trigmart, Edna Anne or Beverley Button and what do all 3 have in common?

They are all group 1 winners having each won $100,000 races at GP ....and with all respect, not much else.
Trigmart never posted a top 5 finish in its first 5 starts at country tracks....then ran 2nd at Albany and came off an 8th at Kellerberrin to win the Group 1 Sires Stakes (by half a head). Only had 15 starts for 60k in stakes, most of which came from its group 1 win.
Edna Anne fared a little better but came off 2 eigth placings to win the same race and Beveley Buttons at least won at Geraldton after her group 1 success plus maybe another minor GP success. Happy nights for the lucky connections, and whilst no win is a complete Bradbury, these come close.

Was there a  maiden that won the St Ledger back in 80,s  when race was over 3200 metres. There were complaints about letting maidens run in such a prestigous race and it won.
My memory is not strong but I will check it out.

Also backed the dispised roughie Eveready in debut race. I like the look of it in mounting yard and got all the exotics with it.

Back in early 90,s I took a trifecta in a race with Beachball to win from 2 other roughies, the numbers were 5, 19, 24 pure jag.
I also ran into TAB 30 seconds before jump and backed Drought to win Victorian Derby, was one of dispised roughies.
I walked into the TAB in Esperance one day and there were 2 blokes standing at Perth races and one said who would have ever got that quinella (winning horse was Bark Hut) I said I did 10 times and got the tri. There was stunned silence.
Had a silent share in Zabanite in 90,s and was told by trainer not to stop punting it till he told me to, Came from impossible position 50 metres out and got up by a nose. Won a motza on and off course. Was no fluke, but never won again I dont think.

Drought wasn't a roughie and it didn't even win the VRC Derby
