Bali Punting - Galaxy Sports Bar

I know this question gets asked a bit on this forum, so after getting a message yesterday from a mate in Bali, I thought I would pass this on.

I think we all know by now that you can bet at the YBar in Bali, and its not a bad setup. There is now another option, Paul who was part of the team at the YBar, has now set up at Galaxy Sportsbar in Seminyak. 

Now I haven't been there, but I do know Paul from my last trip and he is a great bloke, and goes out of his way to help you out.

So if you're in Bali and looking for somewhere to watch the races and have a punt, give the Galaxy a go...... and tell Paul you heard about it from here, and that that bloke from Broome recommended him..... who knows I might be able to get a bit of overs on something I like in future.

    Was there a few weeks ago.

    Galaxy good for a punt but not much else.

    Fairly small and generally need to get a spot early on a Saturday if you want to spend a few hours punting.

    Saying that plenty places nearby that have a good feed and a bit more room to move.

    i'll be there on sat...unless "lucky day" has the races.

    really only want to watch the cup, not to punt.

    The Galaxy has been running a bookie for years ??
    Is the Y Bar still taking bets ? Tom knobhead Percy said in an article that he went there but it wasnt on ?

    Another option is watch it on your IPad on your balcony or around the pool did that on my last trip got all coverage except Syd and Melb but logged into Racing .com and watched them so happy dayz winners bintangs and bikinis JOY !!!

    Falc are you staying Sanur mate ? if so they had a dog trainer on  RR the other morning and he said they went to a bar in Sanur and watched the races  cant think of the name of the pub shouldnt be to hard to find

    i'm staying at the Marriott in Seminyak...about 500m from the galaxy...off at 4pm this arvo...got time for a quick 9 holes... :)>-
