@The Diva @Chris could you please ban Perth Racing from commenting on this site until they re-instate me as being able to comment on their crappy Facebook page...

If the drongo's they have in control of the social media program for them aren't willing to accept all comments, I don't see why we have to put up with their grandstanding bull5hit on here.

I think the fact they're commenting on the website speaks volumes about them open to receiving feedback and I'm all for it

agree, chris but I wish they'd flick the angst about handicapping to the appropriate source...their comments would be VERY interesting.

But I expected that to be the response from everyone. Just remember that your not talking to anyone at PR, your just talking to the company they have contracted to handle all the Social media interaction.. And they are some of the stupidest people who I have ever known to use a keyboard!!!!

Illiterate, obnoxious, inaccurate, cowards......But that is just from my own personal perspective of dealing with them..

    =))

I will now go and create 50 Facebook profiles and bombard their social media site with one sided crap like they will try to do here. :D

I won't, but I bet they don't give us any answers about PR, they will just broadcast propaganda as is usual..

And thank the lord for that...I've actually just been trying to get them engaged in a conversation, like I did on FB!!!! On FB ,they banned me and refused a request to lift the ban.....where as here, I can tee off...

So close to the perfect situation. I cant wait for them to continue with insightful information, support and showing the empathy for the paying client - or potential clients - of their club that we would expect from the leading turf Club in WA.

My take on this, for what its worth.. in the past, the tables have not been worth too much as the facilities were poor.
If you expect the club to upgrade the facilities substantially (which Im told they have at Ascot), then I guess they are worth more now.
Basically, you get what you pay for.
The facilities at Flemington and Caulfield (i have been a guest at both) are first class and therefore you pay top dollar.

Dear Rio, Could you please contact me, I'm not sure why you were banned. marketing@perthracing.com.au I would like to look into it. We only ban spammers.
    Thanks

My take was that it was a '**** take' post? Oops.

As I have said in previous post, you won't get me anywhere near them at the price they are at!  Nor do I believe too many 'racing people' will.  The 'Highrollers" they seem to want to target can have the place.

The only support I wanted to give was that they are now treating all members the same....... cash-cows (as opposed to Chris and Diva's race-cow I sold them!) =P~

careful "helpful pr" guy/gal you might get the flick like a workmate of yours did trying to be helpful.... 8-X

yes falc, the last helpful guy at PR, got shafted in a hurry...But this one is using their logo so they must finally have decided to embrace social media in all its forms.

thank you @perthracing for the offer, but knowing that Board members who i raised it with have told me that its probably best for the club if I'm banned, I'll stay a happy outsider. I'll also let the other handful of people who have told me they are also banned (if i can find their FB posts) that we are only banned as we are classified as spam!?!?!?!!?

I live in the past a bit and the last time i was contacted by PR over an issue i spent an afternoon in one of their rooms on Grandstand Road going through a file about 2" thick that had copies of all the posts on social media i had made that they reckoned was evidence of me damaging their product....Seemed then that they didn't realise as a member, that it was my product!! So i wont be confirming for you who i am..Ask Harvey he'll tell you...Fix FB and see how you go accepting open commentary...there's a challenge for you!!!

Anyway you post away as much as you like...You have the sites blessing....it'll make far more interesting reading than my waffle!!

A very grumpy old bugger at the moment mate...and I'll happily sit and watch their valued input, without belittling or bullying them.

I remember getting very harsh warnings about reading the content of this website when i used to work on old grandstand road. Everyone there hated this forum! Crazy to think they are now a member. How times have changed hey! Hopefully for the better!

Is PR responsible RBH or is it RWWA?

RWWA.  PR only looks after Belmont and Ascot.  RBH is state wide.

legless in his repky to darkshines probably means the product as far as the class system is concerned.
    that will be rwwa
surely perth racing would rather run races above the positively provincial crap with minuscule fields,  that they have now, although i may be wrong as far as that is concerned.

No, don't get me wrong. On facebook, I, only ban those who spam ie: selling sun glasses, promote betting sites.
I don't check this site regularly so if you do want a fast response, just email me and even if I don't have the answers, I will find out and get them to you.

But you also threaten those that make comments you don't like.

I commented on your photography that was being used, shot by what looked like an iphone, but just poorly exposed, no lighting, composition, camera shake almost everything you could imagine a drunk would capture when falling sideways and hitting the shutter release. So given the opportunity to promote the product, you gave the World crap.

When I highlighted this, you told me that adverse comments would see me banned from the page.

    You're a pack of fools.

@Legless Thank you so much. At the end of the day, we can try our best to do what we think is the best and at the end, we will always get a mixture of good and bad feedback. Do bear with us, we definitely aren't perfect, though we try our very best. Thanks guys :)

Yup - that is what I was getting at - PR therefore has no control over the quality of the product it is dished up.to work with.
As you have probably realised @carey I gave up long ago as far as the RBH, ratings , inconsistencies etc etc go.

My take on their current path of handicapping is they working on a majority system .
Majority of small owners happy as there horse can win a race a year to help pay the bills . Then there's the welfare mobs who are kept at bay due to lower "wastage" within the industry .All this to the detriment of the product that's being delivered

Why be a member?, the committee do what they want anyway. I am the chairman of my own committee, it's called " my house for the races boys". Own lazy boy chairs, no lines to bet( Internet), own music we like (MTV), Food? BBQ or mrs makes sandwiches, No driving, Can hear previews for east coast races (I 99% bet there anyway), only drunks are mates. Why is it I should become a member??.
