i won't feel guilty them for leaving you in the lurch!!
i have stopped just about everything to do with wa.
i am sick of having to second guess everything they do.
so now i am not checking anything.
all the data is entered as is from now on.
and i will probably even stop doing that, when i am sure i can do what i am in the process of trying to do.
that likely means no more posts on a saturday morning in the not too distant future.

So don't feel your letting us down mate................i regularly use your figures for win bets only, and that generally provides a small return.

Have been playing novelties with the top 4-6 particularly if a couple of them are overs :)
:-? HK racing? - now that WOULD be interesting :D

last few weeks i have been checking what's what, and i can't believe how consistently good everything is.
in fact i have yet to find one single error in their data.
and then there is the fact that it is obvious that the punters mean everything to them, so they have SO much information that one can do things with.
i have been doing nothing but wa for myself since probably the start of the new millenium, and it has taken me this long to realise just how friggen stupid i have been.
why would you support a place that cares not one fig about the people that provide the turnover?
and continuously lie by omission?
and legless, it's ok, you are allowed to say that they were no good, and that's why you didn't use them!!
:|
I'm not a big punter at all and started using them as a bit of a play around. As with all data, it can be interpreted differently - the way I am am using it, works for me ;)

the fact of the matter is that wa does not have any true g1 races(or very rarely anyway).
group status is basically irrelevant unless you are a breeder, or are interested in having pretend status.
then you can get on twitter, and talk up the listed 'so and so stakes' or the g2 'this is a great stakes race' , that is full of 72+ horses max!
most of the pg races have never been group quality to begin with, and yet they keep their status.
but this is australia, where bullshit and self aggrandisement reigns supreme.
Time honoured stakes races that loom large on the Australian calendar do. They could run the cox Plate for $1M and it would still get a cracking field.
What would be far more sensible, but less glamorous for those in charge, is a far higher base level of financial support that would benefit many, including horses that are targeted for the biggest days but don;t for some reason make it there.
I honestly believe that the administrators of Racing in WA, both at RWWA and Perth Racing, are sadly out of touch with the Industry. By making these races so top heavy in prize money, when supporting races need that same support, just shows that this is more about headlines and people making their kingdoms more powerful, than actually fulfilling their primary roles and working for the Industry as a whole.

a few years back they must have changed policy, and almost overnight, all the races were being run in slower times.

Will take time to wash out - pardon the pun.
