Agree Gary, however just another example of trainers not worrying about the punters who fund the industry! Certainly not in RWWA's interest to change anything...

Seriously, should we be promoting early markets on 2 year old races with an 'all in' clause?!  Its hard enough to get a 2 year old to the track on a Saturday from when the acceptances come out on Wednesday.

All these markets do is give the owners another way to loose their money.

No 'punter' in their right mind would wager any sort of money on this market?

Correct if you guys took 17s ESSAYEZ your crazy surely would get 30 plus on the day on the tote ??

She'll be chaired back to weigh in if She wins....like a footballer being carried off the ground after his 300th.

Correct Gary H...I doubt very little serious money would be wagered early...Even by owners as we know the vagaries of 2yr olds a lot more so than most..

But they do promote them and then the markets and fields are not managed well...I rarely bet all-in, and I agree it is only usually as owner or as a close friend of owners.

A tinkle at perceived good odds...Anything over 20's will be good odds if she starts...IMO

I do not think she will be anywhere near 30's on the tote, as PP suggests.

Willie stays on Military Reign so London Line looking for a new jock.

If she's not she's unders Falcon given there is a odds on pop in the race considered a cert in some circles who if draws well will only firm

Ok 30 maybe a stretch somewhere mid twentys maybe more like it guess we will have to wait n see but would you be happy taking 17s now before the draw I think not

Those taking 1.75 the fav now are just barking mad

Id be very interested to know what Punta has ESSAYEZ at on the day ???

Couldn't see the fav shortnening from $1.75 regardless of where it draws...big field, 2yo's...

I think Pushing Shapes will firm with a decent gate.

I agree Chelsea. I backed him each way at $31 after his first win. I thought the improvement he showed from his trial win to his debut win was fantastic. Spewing i didn't buy a share in him when i had the chance.

I picked Lucky Street to win the MM and KK after I watched it trial at the track on the 2nd of Feb. 1 down and 1 to go it will win the KK Plate. Mytsic Maid is getting under the radar and will run close if it settles in running. Pushin Shapes has a great turn of foot and will be in the first 3. Good luck to the PTT horse hope it draws well and runs a great race what a thrill you guys have had so far may it continue.

Only seems to be 6 winning chances in the KK that bodes well for a decent chq for the PTT horse who is in that 6

No good news (for me), but barriers are up.

    I call for a redraw :)
(Every horse I've ever had in the race has drawn a double figure gate - except two, who ended up scratched)

    Any markets out yet ??
  • TiversTivers    7,720 posts
Isn't a full field, no Damo.
Often happens..............everyone carries on about getting a start, then turns out not even a full field.
Although must admit last couple of years have seen most fields full (excl probably Derby and definitely Oaks)

I'd be waiting to see who they put on Chantski before I went too crazy.. Whiting on Mary Abacus. Would they throw Jerry into a group 2??

The supporting race on the card, being the Group 3 WA Oaks, is a disappointment in only 10 runners.
